The ideal denture base alloy for the complete range of removable dental restorations.It was quite challenging to create a bonding alloy for the model <strong>casting</strong> technique that offers outstanding rigidity that issuitable for laser welding and is also easy to process. Here is the solution: Girocrom ® FH, an innovative alloy with idealmechanical properties but without carbon; thus, no cracks due to carbide precipitation will occur.With the laser welding technique, the dental technician maybenefit from the advantages of the most modern joiningtechnique which ensures a high degree of biocompatibility forthe patient. During laser welding, conventional alloys revealedthe dilemma of carbide precipitation in the weld due to theircarbon content.Carbon increases the stability of alloys. However, carbideprecipitation in laser welds mean a big problem regarding thematerial quality which often resulted in undesired cracks andfractures. AmannGirrbach now confronts these materials withthe new denture base alloy Girocrom ® FH with the new optimizedcompound.
