As well we hostedan Iron Chef cookingcompetition at our schoolto help educate and motivateour students in regardsto healthy eating. We alsoput healthy family friendlyrecipes in our school newsletterthrough out the yearto promote good nutritionalhabits.A huge highlight of theyear was our ability to purchasemany items for ourschool from a wish list providedby our teachers. Thefollowing items were purchased:100 cup coffee perk,two LCD projectors, tworisers, 20 stacking chairsand two 40” monitors.We kicked off the 2009-10 school year by donatingveggies and dip and hostinga fun family feud gameshow between the teachersand RCMP at our back toschool barbecue.Interlake Human Resources Corp.would like to congratulate and thankBrenda Lutz, Deborah Farago and Shaunna Faragoon ten years of dedicated service to our organization.The awards were presented at our annual Interlake Christmasparty in December. Itwas a well received eventand I think would be evenmore successful if heldagain next year.When I sat down towrite this report I thought,aah, it will just take a fewminutes to summarize ouryear’s activities. Honestly,it took a lot longer thanthat and I think that is impressive!It is an indicationto me of the positive impactwe are having at ourchildren’s school.
