On behalf of our CEO, Remy Millott, and the rest of the management team, I am proud to present thesouvenir brochure from the 23rd Annual Pinmar Yachtsman’s Golf Tournament... The Pinmar.AudioLightingTouch ScreensMedia LibrariesTelevision & VideoThe Pinmar 2011 tournament broke all records. Three hundred and seventy twoplayers entered and over 860 guests attended the Prizegiving Dinner at the Come Fly withMe Theatre. Over 100 sponsors supported the event and 115 volunteers and organizers put ina huge amount of work. For the first time we had to overflow into the Wednesday so all theteams could play and we are very grateful to all those who helped to make that happen.Thanks to all our players, sponsors, volunteers and guests the tournament wasanother great success. The sponsors are listed on pages 47-62 but I would particularly liketo thank Awlgrip, our co-sponsor, and all the Albatross Sponsors.The 2011 event smashed our previous best charity total reaching a stunning€ 67,000. In addition to Awgrip’s generous donation of € 10,000, the charity total wasboosted by two exceptional contributions. The Ugly Sisters Bar (please see page 45) raisedan amazing € 11,300 which included the highest price of € 1,600 for a single drink paid byCaptain Richard Hutchinson and a further € 6,000 from Lee McGuire of LM Group and DavidIreland of Deckers for the dubious honour of running the bar for the next three years.The second extraordinary donation came in surprising fashion at the PrizegivingDinner. Due to a combination of bad luck and an absence of babysitters Beaugeste,the overall winners of the tournament, were unable to collect the Pinmar Trophy. In aspontaneous auction to see who would hold the trophy for the year, Derik Wagner of MTNSatellite Communications won with a fantastic donation of € 10,200 but was pushed all theway by Wade de Claris of GibOil. Thank you, Derek and Wade and everyone else who bid.For more details on how the charity funds were raised and where they will go,please see page 100.The tournament would simply not exist without the enormous amount of work doneby our ever expanding team of volunteers and organizers (see page 37). Special thanks toPeter and Linda Ledwidge of the Mallorca Golf Academy.As usual, the Son Gual golf course was absolutely stunning and on behalf of allthe players I should like to thank the Pamer family and their charming staff for their warmand efficient hospitality and also Gareth Anwell and his dedicated greenkeeping team whomanaged to present the course in its habitual impeccable condition. SponsorshipOpportunities2012 will be the 24th year of the Pinmar Golf. From small beginnings in 1989 whenjust 19 teams of four took part, it has grown to become the leading social event inthe superyacht industry’s calendar.As well as the efforts of all the organizing team, most of whom are volunteers, thequality of the event is impossible to achieve without the generous backing of oursponsors. Last year over 100 companies supported the tournament and many of themhave been with us for most of the last 23 years.With so many people’s contributions, the 2012 tournament will be a spectacularoccasion and as always we will strive to make it bigger and better. It will be anotheropportunity to enjoy exceptional levels of entertainment and hospitality at a uniqueevent offering three days of parties, friendly competition, a spectacular show and finedining.
