Første singel er "Needle In The Red", som slippesmot radio og legges ut for nedlasting 12. mars 2007.Det ligger en hel liten vitenskap i å vite hvilken fuzzboks som skal til for å fåfrem akkurat den lyden som kler raff, sexy og groovy garasjerock. Fuzz somfår voksne menn til å vræle av fryd og jenter til å ønske seg backstage. Ogman tikker lett inn 12 rette når man kobler slikt leven til et komp som brummerav gårde som et beist av en topp-trimma big block V8-er, et orgel som vrælermer enn en sekk med katter på vei ut i Lysefjorden, en saftig sexyfon og enhissig pitbull av en syngepappa.The Goo Men oppsummerer:2006 var et herlig år for oss. Vi brukte mesteparten av tiden til å forske påfuzz. Fuzz er verdens beste lyd. Ingenting kan fremkalle så mange følelserhos oss i bandet som når en real pølse av en pappafuzz kommer hylende utav høyttalerne.Grand Sport Studio, Torshov, Oslo, var vår base noen uker i 2006. Ikke noedigitalt fiksfakseri ble tatt i bruk noe sted under prossessen, fra start av innspillingtil ferdig skive. Det er vi forbanna stolte av. Vi mener det er helt på detrene at det ligger noen opptak med rein magi på innspillingsbåndet dennegangen. Co-produsent Christian Engfelt så seg ved flere anledninger nødt til åslippe spakene, med over halvparten av nålene stangende på rødt, for å danseog riste skikkelig på skinkene. Albumet har blitt en ferdig slipt diamant somkurerer alt fra trøbbel i tårnet til rusk i forgasseren.Den vanskelige andreskiva? Aldri hørt om. Dette gikk som en lek. Vårt debutalbum,Shakey! Shakey!, nådde ikke helt frem til de store massene. Det gjørikke dette albumet heller. Synd, for VG-lista kunne godt vært preget av merefuzz. På fest, derimot… der er vi godt representert. Hele jævla tida. Hva annetenn en god fest kan være opphavet til låter som "Party Like A Lion", "ShakeYour Hips" og "Needle In The Red"? Og tittelen på det nye albumet MakingLove In Tight Spaces er forøvrig basert på en sann historie. Det er forrestende fleste låtene på skiva også. Entitled "Ma Fleur," the record was written as thesoundtrack to a specially commissioned screenplay for an imagined film (which may orm a y n o t y e t b e m a d e ) .Shortly after finishing "Everyday," a piece of music which achieved great critical andcommercial success (selling over 100,000 units) Jason Swinscoe relocated from EastLondon to Paris. Here he began work on the instrumentals which would form the basis ofhis new record - more moods than finished tracks, a series of sketches or diagrams ofdirections to follow. Having completed a rough version by early 2005, he gave this to afriend who disappeared for 3 weeks and came back with short story scripts in which eachscene represented a story of a different time in life, expressing the emotions which underpinthe journey from birth to death. Jason then took this and worked some more on thetracks, and in turn gave this back to his scriptwriter, the two aspects of the project developi n g a l o n g s i d e o n e a n o t h e r .Gradually, Swinscoe recruited suitable vocalists for the atmospheres and themes hewanted to deal with. The remarkable Fontella Bass, who is now sadly in frail health, is thewoman behind both legendary soul number "Rescue Me" as well as some of the ArtEnsemble of Chicago's finest moments, had worked on "Everyday" and was an obviouschoice to voice the parts of the elderly protagonist that Swinscoe envisaged. MercurynominatedLou Rhodes is not only a fantastic singer but a young mother and so perfectfor the "mid-life" singer. The as-yet unheralded Patrick Watson, a remarkable vocalistfrom Montreal, became the youngest of the trio.Swinscoe, now based in New York, then filled out the arrangments with the band andassistance from his old collaborator, bassist Phil France. As a final part of the process,renowned New York photographer Maya Hayuk was commissioned to take 11 pictures torepresent each of the scenes/tracks. These pictures, scenes where the characters aremissing or abstracted or metaphoric, would once again feed back into world of thesoundtrack for a missing film.
