General:<strong>CBSE</strong> <strong>Inter</strong> <strong>School</strong> (<strong>Cluster</strong> I) <strong>Basketball</strong> <strong>Tournament</strong> <strong>2012</strong>- <strong>13</strong>(Under 19 Years Boys & Girls)The <strong>CBSE</strong> <strong>Inter</strong> <strong>School</strong> (<strong>Cluster</strong> I) <strong>Basketball</strong> <strong>Tournament</strong> <strong>2012</strong>-<strong>13</strong> (under 19 years, for Boys & Girls) willbe held from 11 th to <strong>13</strong> th October, <strong>2012</strong> at Kaziranga English Academy, Guwahati – 35.The school is located 18 kms from Guwahati railway station and 2 kms east of Balaji Mandir / ISBT N.H. 37.We shall arrange conveyance for outstation participating schools from railway station / bus stand to ourschool campus on prior information and request.Schedule of Events:10-10-12 (Wednesday, A/N) : Arrival & Reporting of the outstation participating teams.Meeting of participating team Manager / Coach, <strong>CBSE</strong>observer & the Management Committee.11-10-12 (Thursday ) : Reporting of Local <strong>School</strong>s, Opening Ceremony & Matches12-10-12 (Friday) : Day 2 of Matches<strong>13</strong>-10-12 (Saturday) : Finals, Closing Ceremony and Dispersal of TeamsDiscipline:All the participants of the team and their in-charges will be under the administrative control of the Principaland the Chairman of the organizing committee. They will be governed by the rules and regulations of theschool / <strong>CBSE</strong>.Indiscipline on part of any team or its members will lead to disqualification and team / member may bedebarred from the match / tournament and will be asked to leave the campus immediately. Team Managershall be responsible for the conduct of the team on the ground, and the school campus. Use/possession ofmobile phone by the students/players within the school campus is strictly prohibited. If found, the mobile willbe confisticated and may lead to the expulsion of the team.Consumption of tobacco, liquor, drugs etc. is strictly prohibited within the school campus.Accompanying Officials:No team will be allowed to participate without the Team manager and Coach / PET as designated by theschool Principal. No team shall be accompanied by more than two officials. Any non-designated person(s)accompanying the team will not be entertained or allowed to stay for any matter at the venue.At least one female, in the capacity of coach or manager, should accompany a girl’s team.Arrival & Reception:All the outstation participating teams must reach our school campus by 4 p.m. on 10 th Oct’12(Wednesday)They must also intimate to the school in advance about their journey details i.e. date of journey, arrival time,train/bus etc by phone/fax/e-mail. Local team may report by 7:30 a.m. on 11 th Oct ’12 (Thursday).Accommodation & Food:All teams will be provided free on campus accommodation, separately for boys and girls. Suitable &essential Mattress and Quilt will be provided on rental basis if intimated in advance in writing.Team coaches, managers and participants shall be provided vegetarian meals in the school mess at anominal charge of Rs. 250/- per head, per day including bedding charges. Meals / snacks would be servedas per the scheduled mess timings only. Team Manager should purchase food coupon(s) from the‘Registration Counter’ in advance.Infirmary:Our school has a well stocked Infirmary, being managed by two qualified Nurses and a visiting doctor.Precautionary Money:A cash amount of Rs 1,000/- (Rupees One thousands only), being refundable deposit, should be paid inadvance or at the time of reporting to the school.Documents to be sent in Advance:The following documents should be sent to the school by 1st Oct , <strong>2012</strong>:- Consent of Participation.- Entry / Eligibility Form duly filled and attested by the Principal.- Journey details (if possible for the outstation teams)


What to Carry:- Light Bedding. Water bottles, toiletries and towels.- <strong>Basketball</strong>(s) for practice. First Aid Kit and personal sports kit.- Original Birth Certificate.- Students / players studying in class IX and above, to bring <strong>CBSE</strong> registration number given in class IX& XI (mandatory).- Students / players studying in class XI & XII to bring Class X certificate with photo issued by the board.- Photo Identity Card of all players & team officials, duly attested by the Principal.- Group photo of all players & team officials with the Principal, duly attested by the Principal.- Student identity card issued by the school.- Two school flags (size 1.5 m X 1 m) - for March Past & Flag Post.- Dress for the players of their respective school colours with chest numbers on front and back.Teams will be responsible for their own belongings. They are requested not to bring any jewellery, cash/ money or valuable items/mobile phone etc.<strong>Tournament</strong> Rules & Regulations:Each school is entitled to send only one team for boys and girls, age group under 19 years i.e. born on orafter 01.01.94. Only bonafide student(s) shall be eligible to participate. Fielding any non bonafidestudent(s) shall lead to team’s disqualification. On the spot entry will not be entertained.All matches will be played as per the latest rules of <strong>Basketball</strong> Federation of India. The tournament will beconducted as per <strong>CBSE</strong> Rules & Regulations. The judgment(s) / decision(s) of the <strong>CBSE</strong> Observer / panelof judges will be final and binding. Each team should be prepared to play more than one match per day.The team should reach and report to the ground 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the match. Allparticipating teams are required to be present at the opening and closing ceremony of the tournament.Entries and Eligibility Proforma :Last date of receiving the entries of the event with all documents is 01.10.<strong>2012</strong>. On the spot or lateentry will not be accepted. Eligibility proforma should be carefully filled in and dully verified by theHead of the institution. Over-writing in the performa is not accepted and not desirable.
