One ofthe qualities that distinguish<strong>Villanova</strong>ns is “a dedication toservice and to caring for theworld we live in.” •Gerard Olson, PhD,Receives Lindback AwardProfessor of Finance Gerard Olson,PhD, was this year’s recipient of theChristian R. and Mary F. LindbackAward for Outstanding Teaching.The award is presented each year atgraduation to a faculty member whoexcels in undergraduate teaching. •Community Advocate Awarded MentzerA community advocate for marginalized populations, Kristen Valosky ’12A&S (center) was selected by the Center for Peace and Justice Educationas the <strong>2012</strong> recipient of <strong>Villanova</strong>’s Thomas J. Mentzer Award. Kristen,who graduated summa cum laude with majors in Sociology and Honors andminors in Theology and Peace and Justice Education, was recognized at abreakfast May 20.
