RENOLIN PG 100, 150, 220, 320, 460, 680, 1000PI 4-1042ePage 1Fully synthetic polyglycol based gear- and general lubrication oilsDescriptionThe importance of gear- and general lubrication oils based on polyglycols is still growing. The initial raw materials for producingpolyglycol are petroleum and natural gas. Polymers of different chain lengths are produced by the thermal decomposition andsubsequent synthesis of the raw materials. Different viscosity grades can be produced by just changing the chain length of the molecule. The polyglycols obtained using this synthesis have a uniform structure. An optimum adjustment of RENOLIN PG is obtained by speciallyselected additive combinations. The special properties of the RENOLIN PG oils are:• very good viscosity-temperature behavior• very good shear stability, shear losses < 1 % acc. to DIN 51 382• high pressure absorption capacity• high wear protection• very low friction coefficient; because of this reduction in operating temperature is possible• very good oxidation stability, high aging resistance• excellent corrosion protection of steel and non-ferrous metals• low foaming characteristics• high flash pointApplicationsRENOLIN PG transmission oils are suitable for highly-stressed spur gear, planetary gear and worm gear drives. Applications whenenhanced gliding performance is requested, transmission oils on polyglycol basis have advantages compared to mineral oils.Advantage: Decrease in the oil temperature and the possibility to extended oil change intervals.RENOLIN PG oils can be used at continuous operating temperatures up to 180°C and in some cases even higher.Products of the RENOLIN PG series are also used as lubricating oil for compressor handling, process gases like methane, ethane, butane.RENOLIN PG-oils are not compatible with mineral oils!ApprovalsRENOLIN PG is recommended by the Flender company for lubrication of spur gears, bevel gears and planetary gears.PM 4-01/02Previous editions are invalid and should be destroyed.
