HOW TO GET HERE
Trebinshun House is easily accessible by car and rail. There is an hourly train service from
London Paddington to Newport and we are happy to meet you at the station.
We can also organise a taxi transfer from anywhere in the UK, including any of the airports.
The nearest airports are Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham and London Heathrow.

Your stay is in full board private
accommodation with a comfortable
bedroom and your own bathroom.
Trebinshun has its own chef to cook for
you. Each week day and on Sundays, an
English breakfast, light lunch and three
course dinner with wine is served in the
traditional dining room. On summer
evenings we often enjoy dinner outside
in the courtyard.
All meals are taken with your trainers
and other course participants. If you
are in residence on Saturdays, you are
free to explore the local area or will be
taken on an organised trip to a local
place of interest.
Trebinshun House is a 16th Century
manor house. It stands in extensive
grounds with wonderful views across
the valley. It is recognised as a building
of architectural and historical interest
and is situated in a National Park, which
is an area of outstanding beauty.
The estate contains a walled vegetable
garden, a tennis court, croquet lawn,
stables, a fitness centre & sauna.
The comfort and privacy of the
Trebinshun Estate makes it a fantastic
place to learn.

Trebinshun Courses
A teaching session We’re still learning! Regular appearances by
guest speakers
Trebinshun Courses are highly structured
and are designed to help you
make the most of your time.
At the beginning of your course a
detailed needs analysis and language
evaluation is undertaken. A full report
is sent to you upon completion.
By the end of your course you will have
become more accurate and fluent,
more confident in your use of English
and better able to handle many typical
managerial and social situations.
Many of our trainers have worked
in the business world and all have
considerable experience in business
English language training.
They all have recognised language
training qualifications. The objective is
to ensure that your time is spent effectively
and that your learning objectives
are met.
Course fees include:

At the weekend, we organise excursions
to local places of interest such
as Bath, Gloucester, Stratford-upon-
Avon, or Cardiff, or you can enjoy the
beautiful countryside of the Wye Valley.
There is an excellent choice of leisure
activities which cater for all tastes.
They include: croquet, fishing, horse
riding, squash, tennis, golf, cycling, fitness
training, theatre, cinema and jazz
concerts.
If you are feeling less energetic, you can
relax in front of the open log fire, listen
to music, watch television or perhaps
play darts or billiards.

During the evening, time is set aside for
self-study. You are then encouraged to
participate in the structured social and
cultural evening activities which are
designed to improve your language
skills in an informal situation.
Each week there is a guest evening,
when you can meet members of the
local community or listen to a visiting
speaker. On your final day with us there
is a farewell drink and presentation of
certificates.

Trebinshun House Courses
Our most popular course is the Intensive Combination Course.
This has 15 hours per week in a group of maximum 4 people, during which
you can
• Develop and improve your negotiating skills in English
• Learn to give a short effective presentation
• Be more successful in a business meeting in English
• Work on your telephone English skills
This course also has 15 hours per week in individual tuition, during which you
can
• Concentrate on language specific to your needs
• Broaden your English in areas such as finance, marketing, human
resources etc.
• Eliminate those annoying grammatical mistakes
• Work on areas vital for you personally
Those who prefer a slightly less intensive course choose our Combination
Course.
This also has 15 hours per week in a group of maximum 4 people, but has 71/2
hours in individual tuition, and 71/2 hours of guided self-study. This enables
our students to absorb and broaden the language they have just acquired. A
teacher is always available to help and advise during these sessions.
For students who require an entirely one-to-one approach, we recommend our
individual courses. For example, this enables our students to
• Prepare that vital presentation
• Work on the specialist vocabulary for a new job
• Concentrate on language functions you need, such as convincing and
explaining
• Improve your accuracy and fluency in the use of the English
language
For students who want to make the maximum progress possible in a short
time, our Intensive Individual Course has 30 hours of individual tuition.
This is a challenging course for a determined student. For students who prefer
a slightly less intensive course, our Individual Course has 221/2 hours of
individual tuition and 71/2 hours self-study.
