The brand's creative directorTiziana Dom<strong>in</strong>guez says that their India move was a matter of 'when' rather than 'if'.Adolfo Dom<strong>in</strong>guez is a vertically <strong>in</strong>tegrated company, a position that has enabled it to produce highquality,fashion-oriented cloth<strong>in</strong>g at attractive price po<strong>in</strong>ts. The designer has shops all over Spa<strong>in</strong>and an extensive worldwide sales network, with po<strong>in</strong>ts of sale <strong>in</strong> more than 20 countries. The first Madrid andBarcelona Adolfo Domínguez stores opened <strong>in</strong> 1982, and <strong>in</strong> 1985 the designer presented his first women's collectionon the Paris catwalks. This marked the start of the firm's <strong>in</strong>ternational expansion, which has taken his collections allover Europe, Japan, America and South-East Asia. In India, the brand has tied up with Wadhavan Lifestyle Retail,which brought American urban street wear brand Ed Hardy to India <strong>in</strong> 2008. Wadhavan has entered an eight yeardeal for an exclusive master franchise agreement with Madrid-based Adolfo Dom<strong>in</strong>guez and plans to <strong>in</strong>vest aroundRs. 50 crores <strong>in</strong> the next five years to establish the brand <strong>in</strong> India.India's First Health <strong>Mall</strong> To OpenThe BCG group, a Rs. 500-crore bus<strong>in</strong>ess, is build<strong>in</strong>g the country's first multidiscipl<strong>in</strong>ary health mallhere and it will be opened by August, accord<strong>in</strong>g to Rekha C Babu, CEO of BCG Group. The BCGGroup was founded by Babu C George <strong>in</strong> 1980 and ventured <strong>in</strong>to real estate bus<strong>in</strong>ess <strong>in</strong> 2003. Sixmore multiple malls under the brand name BCG Health Square will come up across the state <strong>in</strong> thenext five years. Such health malls are found <strong>in</strong> S<strong>in</strong>gapore, Malaysia, the US and Europe, accord<strong>in</strong>gto Rekha Babu.Spread over 110,000-square feet, the mall will <strong>in</strong>clude retail stores deal<strong>in</strong>g with pharmacy, optical ware, sk<strong>in</strong> careproducts, cosmetics, Ayurveda, herbal, organic, health foods, health and medical equipment.The BCG Health Square will have 44 rooms <strong>in</strong> the sixth and seventh floors and private cl<strong>in</strong>ics on the eighth, n<strong>in</strong>th andtenth floors.These spaces can accommodate doctors who want to set up their own <strong>in</strong>dependent practices with theBackNext
