SCHEME OF RECRUITMENT - ACADEMIC GRADENo. Post and Salary Scale Method <strong>of</strong> Recruitment QualificationsG. 1.1 Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Grade I, (Non-Medical)Rs. 2950 – 4x75 – 3250 p.m.(1) By merit promotion(1) A pr<strong>of</strong>essor grade II, who has obtained a D.Sc.or D.Litt. or LL.D. degree or an equivalenthigher doctorate from a recognized <strong>University</strong>;OR(2) A Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Grade II, who has publishedresearch <strong>of</strong> exceptional merit after hispromotion/appointment as such. In evaluatingsuch research, the Selection Committee shallbe furnished with reports from two or morethan two experts appointed from outside theHigher Educational Institution concerned bythe governing authority on the recommendation<strong>of</strong> the Senate/Academic syndicate.Note : Every application for a merit promotionto the grade <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essor GD. In evaluating suchresearch, the selection Committee shall befurnished with reports from two or more than twoexperts appointed from outside the HigherEducational Institution concerned by the governingauthority on the recommendation <strong>of</strong> thesenate/Academic Syndicate. Such Committeeshould ensure that no credit is given to work on thebasis <strong>of</strong> which the applicant had previouslyreceived confirmation in his appointment or apromotion, to such work in a modified form or intranslation.Notes : (a) Every application for a merit promotionto the grade <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Gr.
