Forspecific technical data, contactTiteflex Customer Engineering Groupat (413) 271-8372.IntroductionTiteflex has more than 85 years ofexperience in the design, development, and manufacture of metal hoseassemblies. We continue our efforts toachieve the highest standards of qualityand performance in our metal hoseproduct for Aerospace and Missileapplications. Titeflex Corporation offersdesign flexibility by manufacturing metalhose configurations to meet rigorousperformance criteria and uniqueapplication requirements.Product Characteristics• Titeflex "S145" Series metal hose designincorporates an annular convolutedconstruction. This design achieves adesired lower force to bend, it optimizesthe hose to fitting joint therebyminimizing the effects of welding, and itminimizes the torsional stresses due topressure and flexing which are generallyinherent in a helical convoluted design.• Titeflex S245 series metal hose designsare similar in construction to S145, buthave an increased number ofconvolutions per inch. This yieldsimproved bend radii performance. S245hose assemblies utilize the samefittings and part numbering scheme.• Titeflex’s patented feed-through designoffers reduced pressure drops, enhanced fatigue performance andvibration damping. Typical applicationsinclude missiles & space and land basedturbines. The feed-through design isavailable in both S145 and S245 hoseinnercore designs.ApplicationsTiteflex Metal Hose assemblies aredesigned for use in severe temperatureenvironments from cryogenics to hightemperatures that exceed the limits ofnon-metallic hose designs. Titeflex Inconelmetal hose assemblies also offer provenzero flow fire zone performance. Some Typical Applications Include:Engine Air Bleed; Cryogenics; Fire Ext.Supply; Pneumatic Transfer; AirConditioning; Steampage 2 Metal Hosewww.smiths-aerospace.comwww.titeflex.com
