At present, an accurate survivalanalysis is only possible at 1 year (Table 7 and Table 8). Using the coupled administrativedatabase, a full 5-year survival analysis is possible (Table 9 and Table 10).For 1062 of the 1071 PROCARE patients (99%) all necessary data were known. Ofthese 1062 patients, 866 had an incidence date before January 1 st 2007. Importantly,since mortality data are collected from the mortality database of the sickness funds, nomortality data are available for patients with a private insurance. Therefore, the survivalis probably slightly overestimated.The 1-year observed survival is measurable for 55 centres using the PROCAREdatabase.
