An advanced DR offering high-quality images with less X-ray exposure
The new FUJIFILM DR providespremium image quality throughoptimized resolution and DQE.Uncompromised Image QualityIn radiographic examinations, reducing the exposuredose is an important challenge. The FUJIFILM DR VELOCITY Ufp is a high-resolutionupright digital radiography system, which uses acolumnar crystal X-ray detector achieving twice theDQE (Detective Quantum Efficiency) of the currentFUJIFILM devices thus providing significantlyimproved image quality.AluminiumPhosphorBy a combination of Focused Phosphor Technology applied to the built-in detector andFUJIFILM’s renowned sophisticated digital image software technologies, the Image Intelligence, the FUJIFILM DR VELOCITY Ufp offers unparalleled image quality in digital radiology.Focused Phosphor TechnologyIt is essential to increase the X-ray exposure efficiency toimprove image quality. To increase the efficiency, the Imaging Plate X-ray absorptionhas to be improved. To improve the Imaging Plate absorption, the phosphor layer thickness needs to be appropriatelyincreased.Image Intelligence “Image Intelligence” is a set of sophisticated digitalimage-processing software technologies that areincorporated in the FUJIFILM DR VELOCITY Ufp.Software Technology ExamplesFocused PhosphorTechnologyStandard Imaging PlateFocused Phosphor PlateIn practice, the Imaging Plate efficiency cannot be improved bymerely increasing the phosphor layer thickness for the followingreasons:(1) sufficient stimulation light cannot penetrate deep into thephosphor layer because each of the phosphor particles in thephosphor layer acts as a light scattering medium, and(2) photo stimulated luminescence (PSL), generated deepinside the phosphor layer and containing X-ray information, cannot be extracted through the IP surface. The new Focused Phosphor Plate not only increased inthickness but also utilizes a columnar particle structure whichacts as a light guide, allowing the stimulation light to reachdeep inside the phosphor layer. The PSL generated is thensuccessfully extracted through the Focused Phosphor Platesurface. As a result, the X-ray exposure efficiency is improved.FNCMFPFlexible Noise ControlFNC selectively suppresses noise componentswhile maintaining signal contrast, improvinggranularity in “noisy” anatomical regions.Multiple Frequency ProcessingMFP is optional software that providesgreater diagnostic information from a singleexposure image through frequencyenhancement. MFP improves visibility of bothdense and peripheral tissues, simultaneouslyapplying edge-enhancement processing to allstructures in an image.Unprecedented Speed User-Friendly Interface Additional featuresProcessing up to 240 IP/hour at 10-pixel resolution, the FUJIFILMDR VELOCITY Ufp ensures immediate results for the operatorand less waiting for the patient. The productivity gains seen withthis unit are more than just impressive throughput.Since images are processed using FUJIFILM’s refined imageprocessing tools, they are in the optimum state for diagnosiswhen they are displayed. Technologists do not waste valuabletime trying to make the image look acceptable beforetransmitting them to PACS.VELOCITY UfpCR ConsoleA convenient verification display canbe installed on either side of thedetector unit, clearly indicatingpatient name for quick and easyconfirmation to minimized patientdataerrors.Enables the imaging of the lower extremities bylowering the detector-unit to a height of up to 47cmfrom the floor (to the center point).Compact design with an entire unit depth of only45cm.Patient hand grips at the top and side of the unitfor added safety.*Top and side grip handles are optional.
