Shuttle ServiceThere is a shuttle service now being offered from the Columbus Airport to Ohio University and also from Ohio Universityto the Columbus Airport.1. The cost is $10 one way, and drops you off on campus.2. The closest drop off to the Ohio University Inn is called West Green Drive. It is about a 10 min walk to the OU Innfrom West Green Drive.3. There is a Community Service drop off, please do not disembark the bus there as it is clear on the other side of campus.4. They have two pick up times from the Columbus Airport and from Ohio University, one in the morning and one in theafternoon. You may or may not be able to use this service due to the fact that your arrival/departure times do not coincidewith their pick up/drop off times. Daily Workshop HoursStudents should anticipate being on-campus on Thursday, June 16 from 6pm to 9pm. Starting on Friday, June 17 andSaturday, June 18 students should expect to stay on campus from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, with the understanding that some ofthe team work does continue into the evening. This will be the decision of each individual team. On the Sunday, June 19students should expect to be on campus from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.Necessary EquipmentStudents are required to bring a laptop for the workshop. The laptop will be used in conjunction with several of theworkshop assignments.Laptop PurchasesStudents are able to purchase laptops at a discounted rate through the university’s “Go Mobile” program. Studentsshould plan on wearing comfortable walking shoes, since there will be some walking in and around campus. On the last dayof the workshop students will be giving a final presentation. During the final presentation, students are strongly encouragedto wear professional attire. Professional attire can include jacket, tie, dress slacks and dress shoes for men. For women,options can include dress pants/skirts and a professional type blouse or suit.Typical WeatherOn the average, the typical weather in June in Athens is a high of 85*F and a low of 60*F.Required Health FormsThere are no required health forms for students who are attending the on-campus residency. Ohio University stronglyrecommends that you receive all of the following immunizations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis,Hepatitis B and Meningitis. It is recommended that you bring a record of immunizations and medical records relating to anyserious injury, operations, or illnesses that you have had. Hudson Health Center, the campus health clinic, provides freecare for enrolled students. These records allow them to give you better assistance, should you need it.
