CAMFORGE Casing Connection System and SlipLock ConnectorCAMFORGE TM Casing Connection SystemThe CAMFORGE wellhead housing features a bottom connection thatmakes installation fast, safe and economical. Problems associated withwelding are avoided because the CAMFORGE connection is made usinghydraulic pressure to expand the surface casing and housing. After thepressure is removed, the housing contracts to grip the casing and forma structurally sound, pressure tight connection. Features of theCAMFORGE system include:• Rig time and duration of open hole time without BOP protectionare minimized. For example, based on 37 typical installations, the average time required to install a 20” CAMFORGE casing headhousing is 2 hours and 48 minutes. This includes mechanicallycutting the casing, positioning the landing base and housing, forging, hydro-testing, and removing the CAMFORGE tool.• Metal-to-metal seals are created by the CAMFORGE process onthe existing mill finish surface of the casing without any need forpre-machining.• The CAMFORGE annulus hydro-testing simulates working conditionsprior to BOP nipple up.• No open flame or welding is required. Casing is mechanically cutand existing nearby production does not have to be shut-in for safety.SD24318CAMFORGE Wellhead HousingSlipLock TM ConnectorThe SlipLock connector is an alternative method of attaching a casinghead housing to surface pipe. Instead of using conventional casingthreads or slip-on preparations which require field welding, a simple slipmechanism is utilized. Once the slips are mechanically activated, sealingis achieved with integral elastomeric P seals. Features of the SlipLockconnector include:• Reduced rig installation time since welding is eliminated.• The SlipLock connector is reusable for drilling/explorationapplications.• The SlipLock system is suitable for landing base applications.SD24318SlipLock Wellhead Housing8

Cameron Gate Valves for Geothermal ServiceCameron Gate Valves for Geothermal ServiceCameron designs and manufactures gate valves to meet thedemands of geothermal service.Cameron offers two highly reliable, field proven valve designs foruse in geothermal service: The Foster D-Seal Geothermal Gate Valveand the W-K-M Pow-R-Seal Geothermal Gate Valve. All 12” nominal Foster and W-K-M gate valves are are either 12 3 /8 ”or 12 1 /2 ” bore to drift a 12 1 /4” bit.Foster D-Seal ® Geothermal Gate ValvesFoster D-Seal Geothermal Gate Valves have been highly successful ingeothermal service. The slab gate and dual seat design assures reliabilityand long service life. These valves are available with flangedand weld ends in ANSI classes 150 through 1500 and in bore sizes 2”through 24”. A single seat option is also available.W-K-M Pow-R-Seal ® Gate ValvesW-K-M Pow-R-Seal gate valves have been successfully employed formany years in geothermal service, in flow lines and as master, wingand casing head valves on wellheads.Pow-R-Seal valves are available with flanged and weld ends, in 2”through 36” bore sizes, and in ANSI classes 150, 300, 400, 600, 900 and1500. These valves meet API 6D requirements and are ideal for storage, manifold, processing, steam and hot water applications. In addition,API 6A-rated 2”and 3” sizes, with 2000, 3000 and 5000 psi workingpressure, are used on steam wells as casing head valves.Gauging applications.Pow-R-Seal valves in the Geyser Field.Flowline application.9

Foster D-Seal Geothermal Gate ValveD-Seal ® ValveThe D-seal valve is ideal for those critical situations where an absolute, durable seal is needed. At the heart of this valve is its unique dualseat design, which virtually doubles the anticipated time betweenmajor gate/seat repair. The primary internal seat takes the brunt ofdaily wear and tear, and the second outer seat takes over in case offailure. Other features of the D-seal valve include:• Multiple backup seals in every critical area, including twoindependent seals on each side of the gate and three seals inthe stem sealing area with back seat capability.• Two functional valves in one more than doubles the usable lifeexpectancy compared to a conventional valve.• Bi-directional sealing capability in some cases can eliminate valvesused in tandem.• Simple, accessible design requires no tools for disassembly andrepair. Also features in-line repairablilty.• Simple operation and low torque allows for the use of a smaller, more economical actuator.• Rugged cast steel body provides maximum structural integrity.• Available with stem extensions and power actuators.• Primary seat is available without the TFE insert.• Internal self-venting mechanism automatically relieves body cavitypressure caused by thermal expansion. Therefore costly problemsof ongoing maintenance, testing, service, and possible hazards topersonnel and the environment from contaminants are eliminated.Foster Gate Valve Sizes and Pressure ClassesANSI ClassBore Size150 300 400 600 900 15002” • • – • • –3” • • – • – –4” • • – • – –6” • • – • • –8” • • – • • –10” • • – • • •12” • • • • • •FosterD-SealGate Valve14” • • – • • –16” • • – • – –18” • • – • • •20” • • – • – –24” • • – – – –36” • • – – – –40” • • – – – –SD01665610

Foster D-Seal Geothermal Gate ValvePrimary Seat OperationWhen the valve is operated, an imbalance of pressure occurs when the backsideof the upstream seat exposes more surface area to the flowing product than thefront side. Therefore the seat “pistons” forward creating a bubble-tight seal withlow or high differential pressure on the upstream and downstream sides. Thesecondary seat remains in a neutral position, maintaining contact with the gatethrough the assistance of the belleville spring. Double block and bleed is possiblein either the open or closed position.Secondary Seat OperationIf the face of the primary seat becomes damaged due to corrosion or erosion, the secondary seat activates due to a second imbalance of pressure. As pressureleaks past the damaged primary seat, the secondary seat is exposed to morepressure from behind than in front causing it to move forward, sealing it againstthe gate. This seat is hydraulically set by line pressure and continues to bebuffered from direct effects of erosive wear by the primary seat.Primary Seat OperationSD16658Internal Self-Venting FeatureWhen the pressure in the body cavity rises above that of the valve conduit, animbalance occurs against the second seat. If that imbalance exceeds the presetstrength of the belleville spring, the second seat moves away from the gaterelieving the internal body cavity to the upstream side and venting nocontaminants to the atmosphere. The primary seat is similarly affected.Secondary Seat OperationSD16657Stem Extension CouplingAttaches a stem connection quickly and securely without any special tools. Itmay also be used to attach an actuator or manual handwheel. The top threadedportion of the valve stem is machined with a small keyway, as is the bottom ofthe stem extension. The coupling is made up to both stems. Keyways in thestems are aligned with the key slot in the coupling. The key is inserted into theslot and retained with the coupling’s sleeve and snap ring. All this accomplishedin minutes.Stem BackseatSD16659Foster D-Seal Gate Valve MaterialsServiceTrimBody & Stem Seat StemBonnetGate Primary Seat Secondary SeatPacking Elastomers MaterialsStandard Service FT-1 Carbon Steel Carbon Steel Carbon Steel Carbon Steel Filled TFE L’Garde Y267 17-4PH Alloy Steel Stainless-20 to 550°F Nitrided with Stellite 6 Molycoat with (EPDM) Stainless Steel(-29 to 288°C) Hardface Filled TFE InsertMolycoatMild Corrosive FT-2 Carbon Steel Carbon Steel Carbon Steel Carbon Steel Filled TFE L’Garde Y267 17-4PH Alloy Steel StainlessService With Stellite 6 with Stellite 6 Molycoat with (EPDM) Stainless Steel-20 to 550°F Hardface Hardface Filled TFE Insert(-29 to 288°C) Molycoat MolycoatMild Corrosive FT-2A Carbon Steel Stainless Steel Stainless Steel Stainless Steel Filled TFE L’Garde Y267 Inconel 625 Alloy Steel StainlessService With Stellite 6 with Stellite 6 with Filled (EPDM) Steel-20 to 550°F Hardface Hardface TFE Insert(-29 to 288°C)Extreme Corrosive FT-6 Carbon Steel Stainless Steel Stainless Steel Stainless Steel Filled TFE L’Garde Y267 17-4PH Alloy Steel StainlessService with Nickel With Stellite 6 with Stellite 6 with Filled (EPDM) Stainless Steel-20 to 550°F Alloy 625 Hardface Hardface TFE Insert(-29 to 288°C) Lined BoreExtreme Corrosive FT-6A Carbon Steel Stainless Steel Stainless Steel Stainless Steel Filled TFE L’Garde Y267 17-4PH Alloy Steel StainlessService with Nickel With Stellite 6 with Stellite 6 with Filled (EPDM) Stainless Steel-20 to 550°F Alloy 625 Hardface Hardface TFE Insert(-29 to 288°C) Lined BoreBoltingFittings11

W-K-M Pow-R-Seal Geothermal Gate ValvePow-R-Seal ® Gate ValvesW-K-M Pow-R-Seal gate valves have been successfully employed forover 40 years in geothermal steam service, in flow lines and as master, wing and casing head valves on steam wellheads. Available withflanged and weld ends, principle sizes used are 2” through 12” in ANSIclasses 150, 300, 400, 600, 900 and 1500, with other sizes available upthrough 36”. These valves meet API 6D requirements and are ideal formanifold, processing, steam and hot water applications. In addition,API 6A-rated 2” and 3” sizes, with 2000, 3000 and 5000 psi workingpressure, are used on steam wells as casing head valves. The Pow-R-Seal geothermal steam valve has all the inherent advantagesof the through-conduit design. The Pow-R-Seal valve illustratedprovides these outstanding features which make it ideal for a hot, abrasiveservice:• Gates, seats, and other internal parts can be removed and replacedby a trained serviceman right in the line, eliminating excessiveshutdown time.• Seats are provided with a metal-to-metal seal, both upstream anddownstream.• Allows free passage of steam or hot water with minimum turbulenceand a pressure drop no greater than through an equal lengthof pipe.• HF-6 Stellite TM overlay* is applied to wearing surfaces.• Seating surfaces are protected in both fully open and closed positions.• Parallel expanding gates close tightly against the upstream anddownstream seats in both open and closed positions, providing atight, mechanical seal.• In the event sealing members are damaged, sealant can be injectedto effect a seal until the valve can be repaired. In 6” and largervalves, the sealant is pumped directly through body fittingsinto a groove on the face of the seat. In valves through the 4”size, sealant can be pumped into the valve body.• Equipped with an SLS maintenance-free, self-adjusting, fugitiveemissions-tested, stem seal in an enclosed packing box.• Equipped with a pressure relief valve unless otherwise specifiedby the purchaser at time of purchase.* Applies to valves for -20°F to +550°F (-20°C to +288°C) operating temperatures.Pow-R-Seal Gate Valve Sizes and Pressure ClassesANSI ClassBore Size300 600 900 1500 25002” – • • • •3” – • • • •4” – • • • •W-K-MPow-R-SealGate Valve6” • • • – –8” • • • – –10” • • • • –12” • • • • –14” • • • – –16” • • – – –18” • • • – –20” • • • – –24” • • – – –30” • • – – –36” • • – – –SD1666114

W-K-M Pow-R-Seal Geothermal Gate ValveExpanding Gate Sealing MethodExpanded gates provide a mechanical sealingmethod that ensures low pressure sealing. As the valve opens, upward travel ofthe loose gate segment is stopped by thebonnet. As the main gate segment continuesupward, the two halves of the gate are forcedapart by their tapered mating surfaces. When the valve is closed, downward travelof the loose gate segment is stopped by thebody. As the main gate segment continuesdownward, the two halves of the gate areagain forced apart by their tapered matingsurfaces.SD16641SD16641SD16641Open PositionClosed PositionPow-R-Seal ® Gate Valve MaterialsThrough years of field experience and laboratory development it hasbeen determined that the following materials are the most suitable forsevere service.
