<strong>Huggles</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>School</strong>
On Friday,<strong>Huggles</strong> went to school.He hugged all the childrenand all the teachers.Then he fell asleep<strong>in</strong> the school library.He was asleep for a long time.2
4When <strong>Huggles</strong> woke up,it was Saturday.There were no childrenand no teachers.He was on his own.
“No one to hug!” he cried.5
6<strong>Huggles</strong> tried to hug a chairbut it was very hard,and it did not hug him back.
He tried to hug a computer.It did not like be<strong>in</strong>g hugged.It buzzed and flashed its lights.7
8“Who will I hug?” cried <strong>Huggles</strong>.Then he saw the goldfish<strong>in</strong> a bowl on the table.
But the goldfish hated hugs.It flapped its tailand jumped back <strong>in</strong> the bowl.SPLASH!9
10<strong>Huggles</strong> sat on the floor and cried.“No one to hug! No one to hug!”
“Hello, <strong>Huggles</strong>,” said a teacher.“What are you do<strong>in</strong>g here?”11
<strong>Huggles</strong> was very happy to see her.“I was on my own!” he said.“I had no one to hug!”The teacher smiled and said,“I came <strong>in</strong> for some books.Now I am go<strong>in</strong>g hometo make a cake.You can come with me.”12
“Come <strong>in</strong>,” said the teacher.“This is my familyand we all love hugs.”<strong>Huggles</strong> was very happy.He hugged the teacher’s partner.He hugged three children.He hugged two cats,one dog, and one parrot.14
