Primary Functions1.1 To provide high quality input to the Institute’s undergraduate, postgraduate, professionaland in-company social work and related programmes as required.1.2 To participate in visiting students during placements liaising with stakeholders asappropriate1.3 To assess, record and report on students’ progress.1.4 To contribute to the review, writing, compilation and development of related coursematerials.1.5 To contribute to quality assurance processes and enhancement of the student experience1.6 To attend and contribute to course, Institute and Faculty meetings, including moduleboards.1.7 To engage in research and scholarly activity and to contribute to the developing researchculture within the Institute.1.8 To contribute to knowledge exchange and development of new courses and provision.1.9 To contribute to programme management and administrative duties as appropriate.2. Secondary Functions2.1 To ensure effective quality assurance of all academic and professional duties.2.2 To maintain professional standards and expertise by a process of continuing personal andprofessional subject development.2.3 To develop external links with stakeholders, professional and academic bodies asappropriate.
