<strong>Newspaper</strong> <strong>Marketing</strong> <strong>Agency</strong> <strong>announces</strong><strong>shortlists</strong> for the ANNAs14th January 2010The <strong>Newspaper</strong> <strong>Marketing</strong> <strong>Agency</strong> has today announced the <strong>shortlists</strong> for its Awards forNational <strong>Newspaper</strong> Advertising (the ANNAs) for 2009.The <strong>shortlists</strong> cover the Copywriting, Art Direction, Topicality and Creative MediaPartnership awards as well as the Online Award for the best ad in an online nationalnewspaper in 2009.A total of 68 ads from 30 agencies were nominated for the ANNAs by creative directorsfrom top agencies, who chose from the ads appearing in UK national newspapers.There is no shortlist for the £25,000 Winner of Winners Award, which will be presentedalong with the other prizewinners, by comedian Rob Brydon at the ANNAs Annual Eventon 27th January.Three of the five <strong>shortlists</strong> include ads by Wieden + Kennedy for Honda UK thatappeared in the newspapers in June, announcing the reopening of the company's Swindonplant after a recession-induced shutdown. Five of the ads were nominated for the awards.All are in the running for the top prize, one has been shortlisted for both the Art Directionand Topicality Awards and one has been shortlisted for the Copywriting Award.
