I. LIMITATIONSa. Crime Victim Compensation will not consider payment for the following:i. Individual sessions lasting less than 45 minutesii. Missed appointmentsiii. Telephone consultations or contactsiv. Court appearances, travel time, or report writingv. Reports or evaluations requested by law enforcement, DHS, theCourt, or DA’s Officevi. Psychological testing or evaluation which is not pre-approved by theBoardvii. Clarification, reunification, or other sessions involving the perpetratorand/or the perpetrator’s therapist which is not pre-approved by theBoardviii. Interestix. Case staffingsx. Family therapy sessions without the primary victimxi. Couples and/or marriage counselingb. The Board retains the discretion to limit, suspend, or deny payment of billssubmitted by a mental health provider who is under review or investigationby a licensing board or law enforcement agency. Should the Board decide tolimit, suspend, or deny payment, the following procedure will apply:i. The CVC Administrator shall notify the mental health provider inwriting of any change in payment statusii. The CVC Administrator will also notify any claimants receiving servicesform the mental health provider of any change in payment statusiii. It is the responsibility of the mental health provider to makearrangements with clients for services provided after the date inwhich payment status is changediv. It is also the responsibility of the mental health provider to providethe Board with written documentation of the final findings andoutcome of licensing review and/or investigation prior to the Boardreconsidering reinstatement of paymentEFFECTIVE 05/01/2013 PAGE 5 OF 5
