In <strong>Nova</strong> <strong>Scotia</strong>, a count <strong>of</strong> 411 female family physicians translates to220.45 FTE for a 54% ratio <strong>of</strong> count to FTE, 58% ratio for specialists and 55% overall. There are many reasons for this but raising a family is perhaps the most significant. The femaleratio <strong>of</strong> count to FTE is not unexpected.
