The temperatureis regulated by the thermostaticallycontrolled valve reducing or increasingthe flow <strong>of</strong> the heating medium. Togetherwith the adjusting cylinder, the liquid-filledsensor <strong>and</strong> capillary tube constitute aclosed system.If the temperature <strong>of</strong> the medium to beheated is above the required level, thesensor liquid exp<strong>and</strong>s, causing the spindle<strong>of</strong> the thermostat to act upon the valve,thereby reducing the flow <strong>of</strong> the heatingmedium.If the temperature is below the requiredlevel, the temperature <strong>of</strong> the liquidin the sensor decreases <strong>and</strong> thevolume is reduced, thereby the valvespring opens the valve causing anincreasing flow <strong>of</strong> the heating medium.ConstructionThe parts <strong>of</strong> the thermostat are made <strong>of</strong><strong>stainless</strong> <strong>steel</strong>. The thermostat consists<strong>of</strong> a liquid-filled sensor, a capillary tube,<strong>and</strong> an adjusting cylinder.The adjusting cylinder has O‐ring sealings<strong>and</strong> is sealed with silicone glue at the topfor hermetical closure. The thermostat isavailable with settings between -30ºC<strong>and</strong> +280ºC.At flow temperatures above 170ºC, acooling unit must be installed betweenthe valve <strong>and</strong> the thermostat.
