Park <strong>Valley</strong> Pool<br />

Park <strong>Valley</strong> Pool is a modern 25 metre, 5 lane indoor swimming pool<br />
featuring a ramp entry into a wading area, a large slide into deep water, a<br />
smaller slide into the shallow end, a Tarzan rope, a hot tub and viewing<br />
area with concession machines. Truly "a facility with something for<br />
everyone"! The Park <strong>Valley</strong> Pool also <strong>of</strong>fers numerous specialized<br />
programs like aquasize, land swimming, and arthritic aquasize classes.<br />
Splash Park<br />
The community’s outdoor water Splash Park, next to the Park <strong>Valley</strong><br />
Swimming Pool is fun for the entire family. The Splash Park features<br />
various sprinklers and water toys and is a magnet for children during the<br />
summer months. The park operates May - Sept , 7 days a week.<br />
Omniplex<br />

The Omniplex is a multi-use facility containing 2 ice arenas, a six sheet<br />
curling rink, banquet facility, 3 floor fitness centre, walking track,<br />
racquetball and squash courts, and a boxing gymnasium.<br />
Operating twelve months <strong>of</strong> the year, this facility is host to many rodeos,<br />
banquets, receptions, agricultural and trade shows in the summer, and<br />
minor hockey, figure skating, men’s and ladies hockey, ringette and public<br />
skating in the winter months.<br />
For Public Skating hours <strong>of</strong> operation call 514-2234. Performance Edge<br />
Ltd. is a skate rental company Located in the Omniplex that operates<br />
during Public Skating times.<br />
Walking Paths and Parks<br />
There is 17km <strong>of</strong> paved walking paths winding through the <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Drayton</strong> <strong>Valley</strong>. The paths are lighted, with benches along the way for<br />
resting. Accessible via these paths are 10 playground parks plus 5 extra<br />
large playgrounds within school yards. For a Sunday afternoon picnic the<br />
Lions Rotary Park located on the west side <strong>of</strong> town is the logical choice<br />
with firepits, picnic tables and potable water. Many <strong>of</strong> the parks have<br />
beautiful gazebos. The <strong>Town</strong> also <strong>of</strong>fers 3 ponds that are used for winter<br />
skating with the Northview Pond as a popular toboggan hill in the winter.<br />
Our parks include: Little Lions, Lions, West <strong>Valley</strong>, Northview, Southview,<br />
Mackenzie, <strong>Town</strong> Centre, Pocket Park (44th Street), Swimming Pool, &<br />
Omniplex Skate Park.<br />
Skate Board Park<br />
The park features a variety <strong>of</strong> ramps, including: 4’ quarterpipe, 6’ bank,<br />
two level pad funbox, pyramid and island, wedges and rails, manual pad<br />
funbox and two kickers. The skateboard park is open to all ages and<br />
abilities and is located next to the Omniplex parking lot.<br />
<strong>Drayton</strong> <strong>Valley</strong> Municipal Library<br />
Located in the Civic Centre, the Library lends out materials and provides a<br />
variety <strong>of</strong> services and internet access. There is no membership fee to<br />
<strong>Town</strong> and County residents..<br />

The 55+ Recreation Centre provides seniors 55 years <strong>of</strong> age<br />
and older an opportunity for recreation such as floor curling,<br />
