Veins of fore wing chestnut brown to dirty greenishyellow ; rarely completely hyaline in all cells, but some hyaline areas oftenpresent ; except in uniformly brown fore wing, raised margin at anal anglewhitish, sometimes tinged yellowish. Black line not present on outer edge ofposterior tibiae) ...................................................... 5- Gonoplac shorter, in side view not projecting beyond apical abdominal segment bymore than 0·28 mm., and with lower margin more rounded (fig. 191). (Overalllength 4·8-5·5 mm. Very variable in colour; the following four basic forms arerecognisable, but intermediates also occur.(i) Upper part of face, fore body and patch around anal angle of fore wingclear yellow-green; lower part of face chestnut brown, often in form ofheart-shaped patch. Rest of fore wing chestnut brown, uniformly or withsome hyaline patches. No black lines on tibiae.(ii) Face yellowish with black discoidal spots, subocellar spots and thyridia;dirty greenish patch present between thyridia. Pronotum dirty greenishwith dark dots in striations. Scutellum yellow-brown or brown with twodark median dots and two brown basal triangles. Fore wing yellowisharound anal angle, otherwise hyaline with dark brown veins. Black linespresent outwardly on posterior tibiae.(iii) Face yellowish with more or less dark brownish discoidal spots, narrowlyblackish towards upper margin ; thyridia black. Fore body and basalhalf of fore wing entirely yellow-green ; fore wing apically hyaline withyellow-green veins.
