No person shall smoke in any recreationalfacility other than in a designated area if provided. By-law: Section 64 CAMATOBACCO FREE POLICYThe <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Charlottetown</strong> has adopted a “new” Tobacco Free Policy for Indoor andOutdoor Recreation and Sport Facilities, which went into effect January 1, 2009.The <strong>City</strong> believes that through public awareness and education, we can encourageusers and the general public to respect the health <strong>of</strong> everyone and create a healthyenvironment at <strong>City</strong> owned and operated indoor and outdoor facilities.SPORT FIELD USERS PERMISSIONOrganizations and the general public are asked to refrain from using <strong>City</strong> operatedsport fields unless permission has been obtained from the <strong>Charlottetown</strong> Parks andRecreation Department. Unauthorized use, especially during the early spring andlate fall months when wet conditions prevail, will cause severe damage to naturegrass sport fields. Your cooperation is very much appreciated. To obtain permissionto use a sport field, please contact the <strong>Program</strong> Coordinator at 629-4028.All requests for the use <strong>of</strong> the Artificial Turf Field must be made through the<strong>Charlottetown</strong> Parks and Recreation Department. You may view this facilityschedule via the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Charlottetown</strong> web-site.
