• Hours could be shifted to accommodate clients better, e.g. if clients on the westcoast, flex work schedule to better accommodate their schedule• Need to take a better look at work life balance and taking vacation that isdeserved.• Many areas need to stop discouraging or make employees feel guilty for takingvacation.• Develop and support volunteer opportunities.• Adopt an agency – volunteer day for each employee each year.• Ties to Jesuit Identity and reflects positively in the community.• Alternate breaks – students can sign up to go to various places and staffgo and need to use vacation to go; faculty and other staff that overseestudent organizations should not have to use vacation.o Development• Do more intentional training when it comes to on‐line enrollment especiallywhen we are supporting employees who do not have computers. Be sure weare providing training opportunities to them as well.• Very constructive to have conversations about hopes and dreams; to put intowords what we really value; what we really hope could happen. Visioning.• Be proactive about getting the right people for the right area.o Business Professional Department – students go through prep course to prepare forwork opportunities. Business College could fill that need that these students couldcomplete; business professions trying to incorporate into their colleges; administrativelyhard to track; using same model.• Enhance Technology Resourceso Strategic planning for technology• Continue work to make the technology the same throughout campus forconsistency and efficiency.• Technology: We have made strides in the past few years; very uneven; go into aclass at Alter and the outlets are not working – so it does not matter howelaborate my PowerPoint presentation is if I cannot present it.• Recently a large technological expense to deploy a fix to our network. This fixresults in all kinds of problems in sending out attachments to students. Shouldhave done more testing prior to sending out the fix.• Share resources ‐‐ academic and direct services – global services.• Resources need to be looked at carefully when automating processes; may stillneed those resources for break downs or other type of work.o Devote resources to develop paperless processes to increase efficiency (multiple)• Time sheets are time intensive. Check on auto tracking of time to reducepeople’s time who are manually calculating time.• Automate tuition remission paperwork.• Automate bill pay process.
