Big <strong>and</strong> small, frightening <strong>and</strong> friendly, silly <strong>and</strong> serious -eek <strong>and</strong><br />

had lost his head; some were frazzled, like The Juggler, a many-armed mom scarecrow; <strong>and</strong> some<br />

were funny, like Hen Pecked, the giant bride towering over her tiny husb<strong>and</strong>-to-be.<br />

HAPPILY EVER AFTER<br />

May 24 - September 7, 2008<br />

Remember your favorite classic fairy tale? So many <strong>of</strong> our most beloved tales take place in the<br />

the gardens at <strong>Cheekwood</strong>! A mixture <strong>of</strong> fairy tales, the installation consisted <strong>of</strong> artfully designed<br />

Stories included: Rumpelstiltskin,<br />

Ali Baba <strong>and</strong> the Forty Thieves, Sword <strong>and</strong> the Stone, Three Billy Goats Gruff, Little Red Riding Hood,<br />

Princess <strong>and</strong> the Pea, Three Little Pigs, <strong>and</strong> Rapunzel.<br />

THE BOTANICAL GARDEN<br />

There is always something happening in <strong>Cheekwood</strong>'s botanical<br />

gardens. From the Robertson Ellis Color <strong>Garden</strong> bursting with<br />

season displays <strong>of</strong> colorful annuals, to the formal Martin Boxwood<br />

<strong>Garden</strong>, visitors can walk through the 55 acres <strong>and</strong> discover<br />

different styles <strong>and</strong> periods <strong>of</strong> gardens <strong>and</strong> study a wide selection<br />

<strong>of</strong> plants that can be grown in Middle Tennessee.<br />
