The average heights of swamp gum, manna gum and blackwood all decreasedbetween December 2009 and April 2010 and overall increases in plant height from the time ofplanting were very low for blackwood and wirilda (Table 3). Although silver wattle plantsincreased in height by a factor of 3.5 over the two seasons, the average planting height was only7.2 cm so this increase only resulted in an average height of 32.5 cm in April 2010 (Table 3).In December 2009, the average heights of silver wattle and blackwood were similar at theCampaspe and Happy Valley sites, but as a result of the ongoing browsing at Campaspe River,the Happy Valley plants were more than 30 cm taller on average by April 2010 (Table 3).
