About St. Joseph’s Hospitals FoundationSt. Joseph’s Hospitals Foundation preserves and enhances the tradition of high-quality,technologically advanced and compassionate care for which the three St. Joseph’s hospitals areknown. The Foundation inspires philanthropic investment in St. Joseph’s and the special brandof care the community has relied upon since our founding by the Franciscan Sisters of Alleganynearly 75 years ago. Contributions help build and improve clinical facilities, provide life savingequipment and support programs to better serve each patient’s medical, emotional andspiritual needs.As a qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization, St. Joseph’s Hospitals Foundation raises andadministers funds for St. Joseph’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Wo m e n ’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Children’sHospital of <strong>Tampa</strong>, and St. Joseph’s Hospital-North opening in early 2010. The Foundation isgoverned by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of community, business and civic leaders.The Foundation’s programs provide opportunity for engagement, involvement and investment.We secure, administer and recognize gifts from individuals, foundations and corporations, andare responsible for managing and investing the Foundation assets.St. Joseph’s Hospitals Foundation subscribes to the Donor Bill of Rights set forth by the AmericanAssociation of Fundraising Counsel, the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, CASE and AFP. Te npercent of donated funds and special event proceeds are allocated for unrestricted purposes andmay be designated by the Board of Directors for purposes which may include unforeseen or urgentneeds, endowment and/or operational expenses. Representatives of the Foundation adhere toH I PAA standards and regulations, and do not sell or trade donor information. It is our policy toconduct an independent annual audit of the Foundation’s financial position in accordance withgenerally accepted accounting principles.
