Tom CrowellCONSERVANCY NEWS Fall/Winter 2005Volunteers Provide Critical SupportAs CLC approaches its 20-year anniversary, we realize more than ever how volunteers have helpedlay the foundation for this significant milestone. From March 25th through September 19th ofthis year, 78 CLC volunteers donated 454 hours by participating in trail workdays, working onconservation area improvements, assisting staff with public programs, helping with educational programs,and sending out special mailings. In addition to these volunteer efforts, CLC also received numerous hoursof technical and legal assistance from a wide variety of people throughout the county.Pictured above are some of the CLC volunteers who helped with improvements at the 385-acre HandHollow Conservation Area in New Lebanon at a volunteer workday held in April.
