Its study programs are legallyapproved and correspond to the laws andeducational quality principles of theEuropean Space of Higher Education.The Faculty of Arts functions at the“Spiru Haret” University, which is a privatehigher education institution, legallyaccredited and part of the nationaleducation system, and has two bachelor’sdegree programs (Music-Musical Pedagogyand Theatre-Performing Arts-Acting) andtwo master programs (Art of Music and Artof Theatre) All four programs are fullyaccredited by decisions of ARACIS’Council and legally installed by Orders ofthe Ministry of Education of Romania.An outstanding institutional context,the modern multifunctional logistics, thesyncretism and interdisciplinary ways ofteaching, which allow experiments andpractical realizations of theoreticalknowledge, make the “Spiru Haret”University’s Faculty of Arts a distinctinstitution in the national education system.The two different artistic specializations arecomplementary to each other and givestudents the sparkling taste of that

The program is meant to givestudents an incentive to profile their artisticpersonality and make them able to integrateas they wish in the media and artsenvironment. The curriculum of thisprogram includes disciplines such as Art ofActor, Artistic improvisation, and StageDance, Stage Speak, Artistic Expressivity,and Analyze of the Stage Process but alsoThe World History of Theatre, Theory ofthe Theatre, The Management of TheatreProjects a.o.Duration is 3 years, 180 transferablecredits in the European system (additional20 credits for the degree exam and thediploma paper).

Scientific and Artistic ResearchYou can then follow your studies atthe Master program - Art of Theatre, 2years, 120 transferable credits. The programhelps students to study thoroughly and getmore competences and insists on theresearch constitutive of the theatreeducation.When ending their studies, studentsmeet their audiences on the occasion oftheir diploma productions during Galashosted by our own Theatre Studio (StudentTheatre Black Box Studio Sud) or byestablished theatres in Bucharest withwhich our faculty have developedpartnership to accomplish students’practical artistic activities.The Faculty of Arts has its own Centerfor research and artistic creations organizedon research plans, which integrate bothacademic staff and students’ activity. Thelatter can take part in scientific sessions ormake artistic experiments in our Studio, intheir special classes for interpretation orpractical applications. Significant Awardsor Diplomas have been offered for theirwork to our students from bothspecializations when they took part inArtistic contests or Galas.The practical sideof our work is enhanced by the “SpiruHaret” University’s own TV and Radiostation both hosted in the same building asour Faculty. This makes more consistent thewhole education process.LogisticsThe premises of our faculty aremodern, well equipped, with Internetconnection, and possibilities to audition andview, all in a welcoming building whichoffers all that’s necessary to accomplish aquality educational process.These are completed by our sports’logistics and the modern students’ hostel.

The Faculty of Arts’ Library ensuresthe necessary conditions to study and has itsown book fund and publications for the twospecializations. The books fund is growingall the time with new acquisitions from ourcountry or from abroad. The Library is wellequipped with computers and Internetconnection, photocopier and printer, TVand audio-video equipment. The web pageof our faculty is hosted by the University’ssite, www. spiruharet.ro, and allowsstudents access publications on electronicsupport, documentation and a quick transferof information.International Festival Bunte Buhne inStuttgart, the International Student Festivalof Theatre, Film and Photography HyperionStud Fest, Theatre Schools festival(organized by UNATC and ARCUB),Festival “European Theatre Days andNights in Braila”.RecognitionWe took part in many student artisticevents such as: the international workshopof UNESCO’s Chair for Theatre, TheatreSchool of Manila, Theatre Festival in PiatraNeamt, “Lucian Blaga” festival,International Student Festival in Carei,Braila’s Theatre Festival, Graduates’ Galasof UNATC, Contemporary Dance FestivalIcon Arts, Cisnadie, International TheatreSchools’ Festival “Olive 09” whichgathered theatre schools from Austria,Bosnia/Hercegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia,Greece, Israel, Italy, Macedonia, Serbia,Slovenia, Turkey and Romania,Prizes for interpretation, participationdiplomas or top selections have rewardedthe students of the Faculty of Arts: GreatPrize for interpretation and Best Actress atthe Young Actor Gala, Mangalia; Specialprize “Sică Alexandrescu”; Audience’sPrize, the Prizes “Timică”, “StefanIordache”, Yorick, etc.
