It is about searchingsystematically for solutions to problems. For thisstatistical device is required. Statistical device notonly provides a way of summarizing the data intoquicker and manageable information but also helpsthe researcher to make decisions about whetherrelationships between two or more variables areactually real ones. Statistics today have becomeindispensible in all field of human endeavor includingnot only natural physical and social science but also inthe field of management science.<strong>ITM</strong> School of Business - 9th position in North Zone(Silicon India Survey-2013).• To enable the participants to understand the needs forstatistical tools in research.• The objectives of seven days workshop is to impartthe data analytical capabilities to the project leaders,business analysts, faculty, research scholars and postgraduate students who want to enhance the quality ofdata analysis capabilities to facilitate decision making.• The participants also learn about use of various dataanalysis techniques in research, designing the study,collecting data, issues involved in coding, editing,analyzing and interpreting the data collected.• The primary focus will be on survey research withspecial seasons on Finance, Human Resources,Organization Behavior, and Marketing areas.• To equip with analytical knowledge and skills toenhance the quality of work, enhance managerial abilityto apply different types of statistical tools, interpret anduse the result for decision making.3 rd Highest Placements-2013 BatchTo address challenges and opportunities in the field ofresearch a new software product SPSS now known asIBM SPSS Statistics 20.0 has enabled academiciansand researchers to obtain valuable information fromthe data. Basic knowledge on SPSS is vital for all usersbefore they proceeded to survey and data analysis. Butvery often people have inadequate knowledge aboutthe basic operation of SPSS programme. This sevendays workshop is for the beginners with little or noexperiences in SPSS software who want to acquirethe skills and knowledge of getting started in to thissoftware.
