VSO at a glanceVSO is different to most organisations thatfight poverty. We fight poverty throughthe lasting power of volunteering. We senddoctors, midwives, teachers and other skilledprofessionals to work with communitiesworldwide, sharing knowledge and expertiseto save lives and create positive change. Mostimportantly, this change continues long afterthe volunteers have returned home, and localpeople are empowered to lift themselves out ofpoverty. At VSO, we believe in finding lasting, sustainable solutions to fight poverty. We canonly do this by working together.VSO works with and supports partner organisations atevery level of society, from government organisationsat a national level to health and education facilities at alocal level.
