It is recommended that all students read through the Vocab section andnote which questions are the most interesting and/or the most mystifying and work through thequestions as they deem appropriate. (The Vocab section used to be the first exam in the courseand is now simply an optional homework exercise).□ The Vocab Appendix is at the end of the Green Study Guide□ The Vocab Appendix is useful for students who 1) have trouble with vocabulary, 2) find sciencecourses difficult or scary, or 3) are DSPS or ESL students. Visit the instructor’s office hours ifyou are unsure of the best approach for you.□ Look up and write down the definitions for the words listed in the Vocabulary section ofthe Green Physical Geology Study Guide. There is room in the Vocabulary List for you to writeout the definitions for most of the words.□ Work the Exam Practice Questions in the Vocabulary section of the Green StudyPhysical Geology Study Guide. You should have already looked up (and written out) thedefinitions of most of the words used in these questions; however, as you are working through thequestions, if you encounter additional words that you are unfamiliar with, look them up beforemoving to the next question.Page 24
