<strong>Roundup</strong> Elections<strong>All</strong> <strong>Star</strong> ExhibitsC<strong>and</strong>idates for the <strong>State</strong> 4-H Council will be electedduring your regional meetings on Monday evening. Eachregion will select two senior representatives (must beentering senior year in high school) <strong>and</strong> two or more juniorrepresentatives (must be entering junior year in highschool). The senior representatives will be the c<strong>and</strong>idatesfor <strong>State</strong> Council president <strong>and</strong> vice president.To be eligible to run for an office, you must have beenapproved for membership in the <strong>Tennessee</strong> 4-H HonorClub prior to <strong>Roundup</strong>. Exhibits must beset up between 1:30-4:30 p.m. on Monday. Exhibits maybe taken down Thursday afternoon.PurposeThe purpose of the project exhibit is to provide 4-H <strong>All</strong><strong>Star</strong>s an additional opportunity to share ideasaccomplishments, requirements <strong>and</strong>/or results of specialstudies or research in their 4-H project.Rules1. Any active 4-H <strong>All</strong> <strong>Star</strong> who attends the <strong>State</strong>4-H <strong>All</strong> <strong>Star</strong> Conference may enter one exhibit in thecompetition.2. Exhibits must be displayed on a 3' x 3' tabletop.The area from the table top to the floor may also beutilized.3. Members are encouraged to make their exhibits“free st<strong>and</strong>ing,” since it may not be possible for eachtable to be against the wall.4. Exhibits will be scored according to the 4-HEducational Display score sheet.AwardsA first place plaque will be awarded to the <strong>All</strong> <strong>Star</strong> withthe highest scoring exhibit. <strong>Tennessee</strong> 4-H <strong>Roundup</strong><strong>and</strong> <strong>All</strong> <strong>Star</strong> ConferenceAre you interested in learning new things? Do you liketo have fun, dance, make friends? Then 4-H <strong>Roundup</strong> is theplace for you! Since 1924, <strong>Tennessee</strong> 4-H’ers have gatheredannually on a campus of the University of <strong>Tennessee</strong> for4-H <strong>Roundup</strong>. The event serves to recognize 4-H membersfor their outst<strong>and</strong>ing project work <strong>and</strong> leadershipaccomplishments.<strong>State</strong> <strong>All</strong> <strong>Star</strong> Conference is a part of the <strong>Roundup</strong>program. <strong>All</strong> <strong>Star</strong>s conduct service-learning projects <strong>and</strong>recognize outst<strong>and</strong>ing service projects.Who May Attend<strong>All</strong> project finalists should plan to attend. The currentstate winners in citizenship <strong>and</strong> leadership, all active 4-H<strong>All</strong> <strong>Star</strong>s <strong>and</strong> current 4-H members who have previouslyattended National 4-H Congress as project winners mayattend <strong>Roundup</strong>.Each county may send one active volunteer leader pereight (or major fraction thereof) members attending<strong>Roundup</strong>.<strong>State</strong> 4-H Council, <strong>State</strong> Committee of VolunteerLeaders <strong>and</strong> selected <strong>UT</strong> <strong>Extension</strong> personnel also attendto assist with the program.CostThe <strong>Roundup</strong> registration fee is $50 for state finalists<strong>and</strong> $175 for <strong>All</strong> <strong>Star</strong>s attending as non-finalists. <strong>State</strong>Council members <strong>and</strong> volunteer leaders attend onscholarship.
