369. Leslie Sanderson Santa Barbara, CA My son Matthew who has now had 14 neurosurgeries
receives OT and PT services at the Santa Barbara CCS
MTU. We would not be able to afford the therapy services
he needs. Even if we could afford it, there are not private
pediatric PT and OT services available in Santa Barbara
County. It is silly for CCS to require the hospital to have a
NICU High Risk Infant Followup clinic to refer patients and
then have no clinic to refer to. The schools already can not
provide the services these children need. Why should
those of us that pay taxes be penalized. Not many people
could live on $40,000 in Santa Barbara County and
definitely not with a child with significant medical expenses.
Don't penalize these children.

My family is directly affected by this. Our insurance does
not give ataquit therapy sessions in a calandra year and
out of pocket expenses for therapy are outrageously
expensive. CCS is a service we desperately need too
keep!
