GeneralSpecificationsLaser Turbidity MeterTB600GGS 12E7A1-E• GeneralWith the recent development in membrane filtrationtechnologies, organic filters have come into practicaluse as a high-performance treatment method fordrinking water. In the use of this filter treatment, filterbreakage due to a long-term operation is of concern, which makes constant monitoring of filter performancecritical and essential. This is where a turbidity meterthat can detect a cut of hollow thread and breakage ofpinholes is required. The Laser Turbidity Meter TB600G detects intensityvariations of the transmitted light of semiconductorlaser when suspended materials pass through the celland converts them into turbidity. With the semiconductor laser, the TB600G can detectparticles of even 0.1µm, providing the instrument withhigh sensitivity which is required to detect filter breakageand monitor filter conditions, especially in themembrane filtration method.Furthermore, the TB600G can be used as a turbiditymeter installed at outflows from filtration reservoirswherethe water quality control is required under “the ProvisionalGuideline for Cryptosporidium Compliance.”• Features- Based on the semiconductor laser method- High-sensitivity measurement in 0.0001-degree- Not affected by colors of water samples, particlesizes, and components- Arrest the generation of air bubbles by utilizing thepressure-type defoaming tank- Simple installation through easy wiring and piping, aided by a self-supporting stanchion where the turbiditymeter is mounted.• System ConfigurationWatersampleDefoamingtankFlowmeterwith valveConverterDetectorPower supply100 to 240V ACOutput4 to 20mA DC,RS-232CContact output• General SpecificationMeasured objects: Detection of membrane breakageon membrane filtration treatment andmeasurement of turbidity at outflowsfrom filtration reservoirs at drinking watertreatment plantsMeasuring method: Semiconductor laser methodMeasuring range: 0.0000 to 2.0000 mg/l or NTUMeasurement cycle: Selectable from among 6seconds/1 minute/10 minutes.
