Dear friends!
Eruditio via sapientia est. Learning is the way of wisdom. That is the credo of more than forty-years'
history of our alma mater, the flagship of university education for agriculturalists. Several generations
of professionals, attending our university, form the face of agricultural sector of our country since the
middle of the last century.
The Slovak University of Agriculture offers a wide range of possibilities at its six faculties. Students can
choose the way of their professional life that will provide good living and prosperity for the country.
When translating it into numbers, the University awards degrees in 40 study programmes of bachelor,
31 programmes of master‘s and in 20 programmes of doctoral study. The study programmes are
supplemented with high quality foreign language training, access to information and communication
technologies, wide range of professional training courses and the opportunity to complete a part of
study at prestigious foreign universities.
The traditional fields of plant and animal production, biodiversity, ecology, the issue of safe food,
sustainable development, the use of alternative sources of energy and applied informatics characterize
the educational and research profile of our university. The university has the active part of European
and even global education area because of its educational and research activities. Our effort is
to be a modern and open university that reflects the needs of the period in agro-food sector in local,
regional and global scale. We want to provide a chance for young people to realize their dreams,
ambitions and new thoughts. Those who want to are a guarantee of development in every field of
human activity and they represent the basis of knowledge society needed in Europe.
Located in ancient town of Nitra, the Slovak University of Agriculture wants to follow a dignified and
presumptuous way, providing high quality education using the knowledge of our ancestors as well as
new approaches necessary for the 21st century.

Nitra, dear Nitra...
Nitra, the Mecca of the Slovak agriculture, belongs among the oldest towns throughout
all of Slovakia; indeed the documentation of the town is from the first third of the 9th
century. Nitra‘s favourable geographical location unites with a beautiful countryside, which
gives the town a unique colour. Its rich history has been marching through its streets and
squares and imprints its own seal. Nowadays, this seat of the Nitra self-governing region is,
most of all, a town of young people, as more than twenty thousand students are enrolled
at the universities located here. The town offers wide possibilities for an active social, cultural
and sport life.
Historia magistra vitae
Nitra has been associated with Slovak agricultural higher education for over sixty years. Its
beginnings are connected with the academic year 1941/42 when lectures on forestry and
agricultural sciences were first given at Slovak Technical University in Bratislava. In 1946,
the University of Agriculture and Forestry Engineering in Košice was established by the
decision of the Slovak National Council which, after reorganization in 1952, was split into
the University of Agriculture in Nitra and the University of Forestry and Wood Industry
in Zvolen. The University of Agriculture was transformed into the Slovak University of
Agriculture in 1996. The times architecture of the university campus, built in the 1960s
according to the design of Vladimir Dedeček, is one of the town‘s dominant symbols.
Education: The most precious asset
The mission of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra is to prepare university educated
professionals for all the areas of agro alimentary resort. At its six faculties, the university
offers wide opportunities for obtaining knowledge in the areas of biology, economics, and
the technical and social sciences, thus creating a strong foundation for its graduates to be
successful in other professional areas as well. Modern educational systems offer study pro-
grammes compatibility with other universities, development of interdisciplinary study
programmes and part time studies at different home and foreign faculties and universities.
The SUA as the fist university in the Slovak Republic established the ECTS, the credit system
for higher education, in order to increase the attractiveness of the university for interna-
tional cooperation, transparency and for recognition of studies and quality of implementation
of mobility. After the accreditation, the SUA has the right to award academic degrees
in 40 Bachelor Degree Programmes, in 31 Master Degree Programmes and 20 Doctorial
Study Programmes. The university also offers other forms of life-long learning programmes.

Its objective is to create the conditions for such education, research and counselling which
would ensure the dissemination of knowledge necessary for the development of agriculture
and related branches as well as for the rural development in Slovakia, with a view of the
country‘s participation in the international community. The faculty exploits the scientific
knowledge in the regulation of agricultural systems and subsystems, technological processes
in crop and animal production, high quality production, in protection of biodiversity, the
environment as well as in the development of biosecurity and scientific human nutrition.

Its main purpose is the preparation of advanced university graduates who are professionals
in recognizing and managing the latest biological, chemical, technological and economic
information in a variety of fields, i.e. modern procedures in production, evaluation and
processing of food and specific biotechnology products. In terms of targeted, effective and
compatible research activities, the faculty is orientated on the area of genomics, modern
biotechnology, food quality and safety. Its main aim is to achieve biological and technical

Occupies the forefront among the economic faculties in Slovakia and since its inception in
1959 it has raised more than 17 thousands graduates. Faculty provides students with the
theory and practical skills necessary for economics and management jobs in agricultural and
food industry areas, for jobs in business and financial institutions, in public administration
institutions as well as in other economic areas. Its graduates will be prepared in the area of
enterprise economy, enterprise management and management of territorial units, marketing

Development
The mail mission of the faculty is to provide students with education, research and consultancy
in the following fields: European Policies, Regional Development, Management of Rural
Development, and Environmental Management. The faculty guarantees the training of
professionals capable of: processing the strategic objectives, contributing to the community
development, especially in rural environment in cooperation with the governing bodies of
public administration. It also guarantees them to succeed in advisory service and in organizations
preparing projects which prepare projects within the EU programmes. Students have the
opportunity to study in English at all levels of study programmes, obtaining the predisposition
for success in the European labor market. In addition to accredited programmes, the faculty
also contributes to international education within the EU programme, with the possibility of
obtaining a joint degree for our university together with the universities in Ghent, Pisa, Berlin,
Rennes and Wageningen, in the area of rural development at the second level of the study
programme “International Master of Science in Rural Development – IMRD”.

The faculty was established in 1995. It provides the education at all levels of study pro-
grammes. This faculty concentrates particularly on providing professional education in gardening
production and technologies, in area of environmental measures in the agricultural
landscape, it deals with the issue of integrated water management, land ameliorations with
geographic information systems, in foundation and maintenance of sport grounds and the
projection and biotechnical activities with application to the garden, park and landscape

Within the existing competitive university environment, the Faculty of Engineering is claimed
to be an educational institution preparing skilled technicians and engineers operating
technique. Since its inception in September 1969, the faculty has prepared 7248 graduates of
engineering studies, 784 bachelor‘s graduates and more than 160 doctoral graduates. These
have significantly contributed to technological developments not only in agriculture but also
in other sectors of national economy. Many graduates of the faculty have been successfully
performing abroad.

The scientific and research activity of the SUA has a tradition and stable place in the Slovak
scientific community. It is a part of the intellectual background of the agricultural sector where
it maintains an exclusive position among Slovak universities, but it has also emphasized its
position in other sectors in recent years, namely the means of knowledge of causa-
tion and regularities in nature and society, and also the application of the new technologies
and modernization of teaching.
SUA is referred to as the “Green University” because of projects funded by national grant
agencies, projects of international scientific technical cooperation with partner institutions
in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Russia, France, China, South Africa, Syria,
etc. as well as challenges of the EU framework programmes. Research activity at the SUA has
a long tradition and reputation in the European educational space. It is particularly related
to the understanding of biological, technical, economic and social phenomena and patterns,
ensuring a better use of plants and farm animals, production of safe food and other needs of

our population. It respects the formation and development of countryside and environment,
considering the transformation processes in the society and rural development, regarding the
reasonable exploitation of natural resources and protection of cultural heritage.
On experimental workplaces the students have possibility to study the regulatory mechanisms
of primary processes of creating biomass, energy and agricultural plants. Modern molecular
and biotechnological methods in agriculture are developed specifically on these workplaces.
The complex issues of maintaining agricultural biodiversity in changing environmental
conditions and potential impacts of climate change on the agriculture are being solved.
Some university departments have acquired the status of centers of excellence. Their modern
infrastructure is co-financed by the EU structural funds mechanisms. There is created a space
for the new research design and it enables to produce the high quality outputs from research
projects.
University laboratories are open to young researchers as well as for students, enabling them
to create their own scientific work.

Relations
The development of international cooperation with universities and research institutions
around the world is one of the priorities of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. Its
importance arises from the strategic aim of the university, which is to prepare graduates in
an international job market and from an effort to support the internationalization of the
European university system.
In the area of educational programs, the university is involved in the Lifelong Learning Pro-
gram (Erasmus, Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci), Erasmus Mundus, Atlantis, CEEPUS, Tempus,
Jean Monnet Project, Civic Education Project, Cochran Fellowship Training and in activities
supported by International Visegrad Fund.
In the area of research activities, SUA is involved in projects of 5th, 6th and 7th Framework
Programs and in projects PHARE, COST and INCO-COPERNICUS.
The SUA was the first institution in Slovakia to award the Diploma Supplement, a document
summarizing qualifications achieved and improving transparency of university diplomas, their
reciprocal acknowledgement and the support of employment in Europe. The SUA holds also
a primacy of establishing the European credit transfer system ECTS within Slovakia. For its
successful implementation, the SUA won a prestigious European brand ECTS label in 2010. Its
advantage is to create conditions for the mutual recognition of studies and diplomas in the
EU. It enables the intensification of study mobility and an enlargement of study possibilities;
it also provides students with an increased flexibility and independence when planning for
their studies.
Important contributions for enhancing the educational process are the visits and long
term stays of acknowledged foreign personalities, visiting professors – lecturers and foreign
teachers, who actively participate in teaching processes.
SUA has bilateral agreements and interuniversity contacts with more than 150 foreign part-
ners in Europe, America, Asia and Australia. An important step is the creation of joint study
programmes with foreign universities with the opportunity to obtain a double degree
diploma.
The university is a member of international academic organizations: AUDEM – Alliance of
Universities for Democracy, ICA – Interuniversity Consortium for Agricultural and Related
Sciences in Europe, GCHERA – Global Consortium for Higher Education in Agriculture, EUA
- European University Association.

The university creates favourable conditions for studies. The infrastructure is constantly improved
by the renovation and development of laboratories and classrooms, equipped with
modern technologies.
The Center of Information and Communication technology
The center provides operation and development of information and communication technologies
on SUA. It implements the conceptual intentions of SUA development in the information
and communication technologies, information systems and information security.
The center‘s mission is to ensure the registration, operation and service of hardware and
software computers, to realize production and maintenance of multimedia didactic applications.
It also prepares the computer network conception in SUA, provides its enlargement,
operation, Internet connection and offers net services. Establishment and operation
of regional node of nationwide computer network SANET and SANET2 is another feature of
the center.
The Slovak Agricultural Library
More than 520 thousands of library units concerning agriculture and its related fields have
been gathered in the Slovak Agricultural Library. The library also collects documents from
majority of scientific areas. Around 10 thousand of users have access to more than 200 thousand
loans. The access to documents is simplified by an automated lending system, which
also provides the access to online magazines and books for the university.
SUA Editorial Center
Focuses on the issue of scientific and technical literature for the Slovak University of Agriculture
in Nitra, concerning mostly educational literature (study books, scripts, memoirs)
and other printed matter (anniversary volumes, authors and mercantile for university departments).
Scientific journals such as Acta fytotechnica et zootechnica, Acta oeconomica
et informatica, Acta technologica agriculturae, Acta horticulturae et regiotecturae, Acta
regionalia et environmentalica and Agrochemistry, are graphically and editorially processed
by SUA Editorial Centre. The shop of study literature concerning sales of periodical and nonperiodical
literature, particularly from its own production, is a part of the editorial center.
Agricultural Expert Institute of SUA
Its function is to provide implementation of expertise in three areas: 1. Environmental pro-
tection, branch: air purity, clean water, industrial and municipal waste, meteorology, an estimate
of damage to the environment, nature and landscape conservation; 2. Agriculture,
branch: estimated value of agricultural land, crop production (general and special), animal
production (general and special), processing of agricultural products (PAP) - pomiculture,
PAP - viniculture, PAP - beekeeping, horticulture, estimated value of agricultural land; 3. Water
management, branch: fishery and aquaculture, hydromelioration.
The SUA University Farm, Ltd., Kolíňany
It offers the best conditions for practical training and for checking the results of scientific
work. It has an area of more than 2270 hectares. All the spectrum of agricultural production
is comprised in its plant and animal sample production. Through its production and economic
results, the SUA University Farm demonstrates its high level of farming. It is equipped
with modern technology in crop production using elements of precision agriculture and progressive
technologies in animal husbandry. It provides resources for dealing with bachelor‘s,
master‘s and doctorial thesis by means of information base of socio-economic information
and consulting activity.
The Botanical Garden
It serves as an educational and research facility. It is an area of 28 hectares. Its collections
include numerous species and cultivated tropical, subtropical and temperate plants. A part
of the garden is also a pomological collection with hundreds of fruit varieties, sample book
of ampelography and vegetable sample book. The botanical garden cooperates with 350
botanical gardens and arboretums around the world in free exchange of seed material.
The University Vivarium
The University Vivarium gathers more than twenty different exotic animals. Some of them
were smuggled or kept illegally and the public authorities of the Slovak Republic have
placed them there temporarily. Employees of the vivarium dedicate also a lot of attention
to the environmental education of their visitors, above all kindergarten and basic school
pupils, who come to the vivarium in hundreds every year.
Student Dormitories
The Slovak University of Agriculture offers its students housing in student dormitories
Mladosť, Hospodárska, Pribina, Antona Bernoláka and Poľnohospodár with the capacity
of 2587 beds. There are TV rooms, computer labs, study rooms, kitchens, laundry rooms
and cafeterias with refreshments available for students. For sport activities, there are sport
grounds available in the dormitories and table tennis facilities. University students can dine
in two school canteens located in the dormitories Mladosť and A. Bernoláka.

Extracurricular
Activities
Life at university is not only sitting over text books or in the lecture halls. The university students
have broad opportunities for how to spend their free time, relaxing or doing sports or hobbies.
The Slovak University of Agriculture supports art groups and students interest groups. It also
creates conditions for the formation of new interest groups and individuals. Under the flag of
the Club of Cultural and Hobby Activity are grouped the folklore ensemble Zobor, dormitory
radio broadcast and dormitory TV studio, Ballroom Dancing Club Lúče, Dancing Group of
Afro-brazil Martial Art Capoera, Bonsai and Orchid Club, Friends of Autentic Folklore, Hunting
Group Buteo and the Student Four, which unites student interest organizations such as the
Slovak Red Cross Youth Association, International Economic Students Association AIESEC,
Catholic Youth Club FONS, University Bible Fellowship and Erasmus Student Network.
Students‘ Days
Fall and spring students‘ days have a long tradition. They are connected with conferences,
cultural, social and sports events organized by both universities in cooperation with the
town. The most popular are May Festivity Days, carnival parade through the streets of Nitra,
matriculation ball and exhibition hockey.
Sport
The Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra has wide sport opportunities on its own premises.
The SUA Physical Education and Sport Department offers students the use of a multipurpose
sports hall, a 25 metres long indoor swimming pool, activity studio, fitness centre,
tennis courts, beach-volleyball court and a dock. These facilities allow the SUA students to
choose specialized trainings for basketball, volleyball, floorball, intramural football, exercises
accompanied by music, swimming, tennis, table-tennis, canoeing, fitness, etc. Various sport
units and clubs have performed their activities for more than fifty years under the ZŠK Slávia
SUA (primarily TJ Slávia UA). All students interested in participating in sports at the top
level can participate in volleyball, basketball, swimming, chess, tennis, body-building, fitness,
canoeing, triathlon and horse riding. SUA VK Economist and the twice champion of Slovakia,
the SUA basketball club, regularly accomplish significant achievements in top competitions.

Life of the University
Accessibility
The SUA is a university which eliminates barriers causing problems
to people who are handicapped. It relates to students, teachers,
staff and the “silver generation” that attends the university within
the life-long learning. The result is the improvement of the overall
accessibility and comfort in the university premises (lifts, inclined
platforms and adapted sanitary facilities), access to information
technologies or information for visually and hearing impaired, and
the improvement of human approach to addressing the everyday
concerns of disabled students in the faculties.
Accommodation
Students can be accommodated in dormitories Mladosť, Hospodárska,
Pribina, Poľnohospodár and A.Bernoláka which has modern multimedia
conference hall for scientific and professional conferences, seminars, etc.
Accreditation
The Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra defended the status of
a university within a complex accreditation in 2009. All study programmes
of Bachelor (40), Master‘s (31) and Doctorial study (20) at
its six faculties are accredited.
Ball
One of the top academic events of social life of the SUA is the
academic ball of universities in Nitra. It is organized together with
Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra during the carnival
period. The ball is very popular not only within universities but
also across the region.
Centers of Excellence
Excellent center of the protection and use of agricultural biodiversity
(ECOVA) works at the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources.
Science and research project, funded by the European Regional
Development Fund, focuses on agricultural biodiversity of plants,
animals (fauna) and informatics of agricultural biodiversity. Its aim
is to support excellent research for the preservation and use of agri-

cultural biodiversity, in order to carry out food security and production
of eco food. The Center of Excellence for integrated river basin
management under changing environmental conditions operates
at the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering. Our faculty
will cooperate with the sponsor and resolver of the project
the Institute of Hydrology in Michalovce under the Operational
Programme Research.
Children‘s University
The project “Nitra‘s Summer University” organized by the SUA
and the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra in cooperation
with the city of Nitra is intended for children aged 9-12
and is popular with the public. During the ten days, children become
familiar with the academic environment in a playful and
creative way. Year 2010 was organized for the 3rd time. Children
tried out to be young Europeans, English teacher, farmers, food
producers, growers and nutrition consultants. Small graduates
receive a certificate Academicus Nitriensis Jr.
Diploma
The Slovak University of Agriculture as the first in Slovakia started
to issue the Diploma Supplement. It is a document which improves
the transparency of qualifications, their mutual recognition
and support of employability in Europe.
Dormitory Radio Broadcast and Dormitory tV Studios
In student dormitories, afternoon and evening hours have been
more pleasant with dormitory radio broadcast for nearly thirty
years. Without the radio technicians and speakers, most of the
balls, May Festivity Days and other student activities would not
be running. The mission of the dormitory TV studio is to record
and mediate all interesting events that are going on at the university
through periodic TV programmes.

Erasmus Mundus
For several years, the Faculty of European Studies and Regional
Development in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics and
Management organize a case study for students around the world
within the international education programme Erasmus Mundus.
It is the international Master course in Rural Development. The
programme is coordinated by the University of Ghent in Belgium
and involves German, French, Spain, Italian and Dutch universities.
Experts
An establishment of the Agricultural Institute on the SUA made
the first step to enable people familiar with the theory and practice
of the particular area to solve current issues of assessing process.
Such process does not have to end up in court. An expert
in the field of agriculture, seeking competence in the crop and
animal production or in the estimated value of agricultural land,
has to undergo specialized education. All steps are defined by
Act No. 382/2004 Coll. on experts, interpreters and translators to
amend certain laws.

Faculties
The SUA provides education at six faculties: Faculty of Agrobiology
and Food Resources, Faculty of Biotechnology and Food
Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Management, Faculty of Horticulture
and Landscape Engineering, Faculty of European Studies
and Regional Development and the Faculty of Engineering. The
study is three-level: bachelor, master and doctoral. Bachelor study
takes three years and graduates obtain the bachelor‘s degree (Bc.).
Master‘s takes two years, ends by state exam and the graduates
receive Master degree (Ing.). Doctorial study is a preparation for
scientific work, it takes three years and graduates become holders
of the title Doctor of Philosophy (PhD.).
Festival Academic Nitra
In addition to progress in society and science, the university
respects traditions above all. One of its features is the preservation
of folklore that is translated into the organization of a unique
international folklore festival the Academic Nitra. In 2010, its 37th
continuous event was held with the participation of over 800
performers from ten countries of the world. Lovers of folk music
could see a unique colourful world of folk music, dance and customs
of our ancestors on the stage of Andrej Bagar Theatre, in the
streets of the city and its surroundings.

Graduation
The culmination of study, a moment when the graduate of the
SUA is getting a diploma, is accompanied with festive atmosphere,
smiles, flowers as well as tears of joy. Graduation at our alma
mater is a real experience. Almost 55 thousand of our graduates
from the mid of 20th century can prove it. They are meeting at
the university even after years.
Grant
The SUA Institutional grant system is supported by a mechanism
for young teachers and researchers up to 35 years of age. It allows
to obtain the financial support for research projects and helps
young scientific generation to develop its creativity.

Hall
Hall is a symbol of the university, one of the dominants of Nitra. It
has extraordinary architecture design. It is a part of the university
campus which was built by architect Vladimír Dedeček in the
sixties and seventies of the twentieth century. The complex was
awarded a title “The Construction of the 20th Century” in 2001.
History of Agricultural Education
In 1941/42 the school year began lectures on forestry and
agricultural sciences at the Slovak Technical University in
Bratislava. The University of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering
was constituted in Košice in 1946, under the decision of the
Slovak National Council. It was split up in 1952 into the University
of Agriculture in Nitra and the University of Forestry and Wood
Technology in Zvolen. The University of Agriculture was renamed
to the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra in 1996.

Milk Machine
In 2009, the Slovak University of Agriculture and the SUA University
farm, Ltd. Kolíňany, introduced the first vending machine for
the sale of the raw cow‘s milk of high quality. The milk machine is
located at the dormitory A. Bernolák in Nitra and has a capacity
of 500 liters. It is to contribute to the improvement of the nutrition
of the population.
Nitra‘s University Days
Nitra‘s University Days are held on a turn of April and May. It is
a mutual project of both universities connected with the city of
Nitra. The programme of Nitra‘s University Days is rich and include

Research activity at the SUA has a long tradition and reputation
in the European educational space. It is particularly related to the
understanding of biological, technical, economic and social phenomena
and patterns, ensuring a better use of plants and farm
animals, production of safe food and other needs of our population.
It respects the formation and development of countryside
and environment, considering the transformation processes
in the society and rural development, regarding the reasonable
exploitation of natural resources and protection of cultural heritage.
Student Scientific Activity
The combination of education with scientific work is an obvious
part of university life. The first step is to participate in Student

Scientific Activity. Students can compete in various experiments,
evaluation of experiments and in presentation to the public.
Summer Schools
The Faculty of European Studies and Regional Development in cooperation
with the Faculty of Economics and Management have
been organizing a case study for students around the world within
the international education programme Erasmus Mundus for several
years. It is the international Master course in Rural Development.
The programme is coordinated by the University of Ghent
in Belgium and involves German, French, Spain, Italian and Dutch
universities.
The Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering also organizes
an annual summer school held in different picturesque parts
of Slovakia. Students can learn classical and innovative techniques
in art making and develop their imagination and aesthetic sense.
Some works of participants are then presented in the form of exhibitions
on the university premises. This year, the young landscape
gardeners from nine European countries as well as from Slovakia
were dealing for the period of two weeks with the possibility of
adapting the public spaces of Nitra. The aim was to make public
spaces greener and nicer to residents and visitors.
In 2010, an international summer school of young economists from
the Faculty of Economics and Management and Timirjazev Moscow
Academy of Agricultutre was held for the first time. It focused
on agricultural trade.
The Third Age
The University of the Third Age has also its background at the
SUA. It offers courses in the field of horticulture, agroturism,
health and nutrition, food and its use in nutrition, ornamental
horticulture, economics and law, economics and management,
and accounting.

Students of the Faculty of Economics and Management who study

of their study at universities in Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland
and in Slovakia. First graduates could not be more satisfied.
Viticulture and Viniculture
The Viticulture & Viniculture Slovakia forum has become a tradition
under the auspices of the Slovak University of Agriculture in
Nitra and the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. This
event is dedicated to professionals from universities and research,
policy makers and representatives of the production sector. Topical
issues and industry visions are discussed there. In the third
year the forum was held in the picturesque town Trenčianske
Teplice.
World
The SUA has extensive contacts with universities and research institutions
around the world. It participates in international education
programmes of the EU, mainly in Lifelong Learning Programme
and its subprogrammes Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Gruntvig,
Transversal Programme, Tempus, Atlantis, Erasmus Mundus
and CEEPUS. Number of outgoing and incoming students have
experienced progressive development at all faculties. The university
has bilateral agreements and Inter-Academic contacts with
more than 40 international partners from Europe, America, Asia
and Australia. The SUA is a member of international academic
organizations AUDEM, IAU, ICA, EUA and GCHERA.
Zobor
It is a folklore ensemble in which hundreds of students have taken
part during its more than fifty-years existence. The ensemble
consists of a folk music band, a dancing group and a women‘s
choir. It focuses on traditions of the Nitra region and folk material
of the Tekov region as well as of other Slovakian regions. Zobor
has performed on many domestic and foreign occasions and
participated in folk shows and competitions.
