Mr. Purman stated the DNR is opposed to the vacation of this right ofway due to the evidence of foot and vehicle traffic accessing Cedar Lake at this location. Mr.Purman also noted the use of this access by snowmobilers. Mr. Purman questioned the legaldescription and whether this is private property. Mr. Purman stated the DNR would like to seethe requested action delayed to allow discussions regarding these concerns.Considerable discussion followed with County staff stating they are confident anotheraccess to Cedar Lake can be identified. Staff has been in contact with the local snowmobileassociation and the association is agreeable to finding another access to the Lake. It was alsonoted that the Cedar Lake Town Board supports this request for vacation.Randy Kubes, New Prague, the property owner voiced his concerns regarding snowmobilersafety, trespassing, liability, and erosion issues associated with the use of this right of way.Commissioner Menden moved, seconded by Commissioner Wagner to adopt ResolutionNo. 2013-148; Vacating Part of the Right of Way Along County Highway 64 in Cedar LakeTownship.
