Some lessons learned from pilot testing of preliminaryoutputs performed at 11 Czech universities:1. All universities accepted the designed concept of comprehensivequality assessment.2. The assessment criteria as well as methodology of internalquality assessment seemed to be rather complicated.3. Special training of assessors teams (created from universitypeople) is necessary to understand assessment criteria andmethodology.4. Identified weaknesses were mostly understood as a chance forimprovement.5. Absence of data from benchmarking was discovered as the mostfrequent weakness.6. Well established system of career development was identified asthe most frequent strength.

What will follow? Preliminary project outputs will be modified, newly tested and reviewed by internationalexperts. Final version of the project outputs will behanded over to the Ministry of Education, Youthand Sports of CR. Practical implementation of proposedmethodology of comprehensive qualityassessment depends on revision of The HigherEducation Act. But internal quality assessment can be usedimmediately!
