Sowing of gobhi sarson may be completed.• Major Seasonal Crop: Fruit crops, Flower crops and Vegetables• Advisory: Farmers are advised to undertake field preparation and planting for new orchards. In apple spray 1 per cent urea (2 kg urea per 200 liters of water) before leaf fall, so that there will begood fruit setting and hence production during the next year. It is optimum time for nursery sowing of onion. For taking seed crop of onion plant bulbs at 45x45cm apart directly in filed. It is also time for sowing of peas (var. agad, Lincoln and priya) Farmers are advised to undertake field preparations and sowing of winter vegetables like radish, turnip, carrot. Complete sowing of leafy vegetable seeds. Farmers are advised to treat the seed with 2.5 g Sevin or bavistin per kg before sowing of peas crop. Undertake weeding, intercultural operations and top dressing of fertilizers.• Plant Protection: Weather conditions are favourable for mild incidences of – To control the pre-mature leaf fall and fruit-blotch diseases spray Mancozeb @ 700 ml or Ziram @600 ml per 200 liters of water. This spray also avoids the formation of any spot on the fruits and alsosaves from diseases during the storage period. During apple picking if fruits of any plant having San Jose Scale, mark it and after fruit harvestingspray Chlorpyriphos (Durmet/Dursban 20 E.C. @ 400 ml per 200 liters of water). To control the root borer in apple irrigate the basins after removing the upper soil with 10-15 liters ofthe solution of Chlorpyriphos 20 E.C. @ 5 ml per liter of water.Uttarakhand• Realised Rainfall: There was no rainfall during last week in the State.• Rainfall Forecast: Dry weather is likely over the State.• Major Rabi crops: Wheat• Advisory: Due to favourable temperature conditions, farmers are advised to complete sowing of wheat duringthis week.
