The government,regulator, academia and civil societyjoined the discussion to suggest newways to add up revenues and growth inthis sector.The Big Picture Summit has infused anew breath of life to this sector whosesoft power can bring innumerablebenefits to the Indian economy. It hasbrought a fresh mindset to leap forwardin this sector. One place to look forscale is to gaze outside India. Our friendsin the pharma sector have shown how thispossible: 50 per cent of the pharma sectorrevenues come from outside of India,’’said Uday Shankar in his keynote address.The industry felt that for the long termgrowth of the industry, business modelshould undergo a drastic change.The $100 billion is not an impossible target. We are at aninflection point towards an accelerated growth. We have thepotential to put this sector to a higher growth trajectory. Let’slook forward with hope, confidence with a feet onground.As we move towards a networked (digital) society moreand more niches emerge in the media and entertainmentuniverse.
