7762 Store and Coal StoreThe outer (eastern) part of this has a corrugated ironclad hut below and an iron tank with a sloping floorabove. This was presumably a coal bunker and thesloping floor allowed the coal to be loaded onto theships. On the west side there is a lean-to building, timberframed and corrugated iron clad. This contains a largecollection of extremely rusty harpoon heads and sometimber boarding. The roof has partially fallen in of thetimber shed and the derrick serving the store has themain arm collapsed on top of the roof. The crane armthrough the side of the building also looks to be in fairlyperilous condition. The small corrugated hut immediately adjacent to thisbuilding appears to be a small store with winch behindit.62.1 Northwest elevation62.2 General view from the south (from Building No. 40)
