YInclusion provides one-on-one support for children with specialneeds in afterschool care. When the economy changed and I had to get a job, it was a very panickyfeeling of what is going to happen to my son. Will he adapt to it? Howwill he adapt to it? And quite honestly I didn’t think it was going tobe able to happen. But it was either lose the house or find a job. Wewere pretty much in crisis mode because my son is more important tous than anything else. So we started the inclusion program, very muchYbelieving thatSTORYit wasn’t going to work out. We had 3 different shadows(inclusion facilitators) and it worked out wonderfully from the very firstday. My son was more than ready to start out on his own life and I didnot realize that he needed that... We’ve grown, his brother has grownand my son has grown in the system that you have and I think it’sfantastic. My son wants to go to the afterschool program - and if hedoesn’t he gets upset. He wants to be around the other kids. It is veryhard for him to communicate with other kids because he doesn’t speak, but I think his facilitator can say that he does communicate in his ownway; he’s happy he is there. His older brother feels that his brother isgoing to be ok so he can separate a little bit from him.I don’t know how to express to you how appreciative I am of what youdo. I feel blessed that we found this service that you do and I hope thatyou’re here forever for not just myself but for other parents because itis something tremendous - it’s a Godsend.
