BETONFIX RAPID 5QUICK SETTING, HIGHLY WORKABLE MORTAR FOR RAPID BONDINGFIELD OF USE FOR 4 TH DIVISION PRODUCTSPROBLEMIn normal building site work, or for small jobs where a quick solution is required, problems regardingdifferent elements often arise (shanks, pipes, hinges, frames, boxes, manholes, etc.) with the needfor fast application in order to avoid wasting time, inconvenience and to overcome application difficulties.DESCRIPTIONBETONFIX RAPID 5 is a premixeddry mortar. The product is ready touse, shrink resistant and has fastsetting and hardening times. It hasexcellent adhesive and workabilitycharacteristics due to special additives.The highly thixotropic qualitiesallow thick vertical applicationswithout using moulds.BETONFIX RAPID 5 becomes highlyresistant in a few hours.FIELDS OF USESUBSTRATE PREPARATIONThe surfaces must be prepared toguarantee the best adhesion of BE-TONFIX RAPID 5 mortar by creatingthe appropriate fixing holes. It is necessaryto remove any loose particles,dust, release agents and dirt ingeneral. The surface should be wettedwith water without creating asurface veil of water which can beremoved using compressed air or asponge.PREPARATION OF THE MIXBETONFIX RAPID 5 is ready to use.Just mix with 18% clean water usinga slow speed mixer. The mixing ratiois 4.5 litres of water per 25 kg bagand 0.9 litres of water per 5 kg bag.BETONFIX RAPID 5 is particularlysuitable for fixings such as: manholes,frames, boxes for electrical installations,shanks, pipes, hinges, plugs,sanitary fittings, sealing cement conduits,cisterns, cracks with water infiltrationsand water seepage.Roughly 1.8 kg/l.COVERAGEPRECAUTIONS• Use cold water during summermonths and water at 20°C duringwinter.• Minimum application temperature,+5°C.• Do not add water when the mixstarts hardening.• Do not add other materials to BE-METHOD OF USEDue to the rapid hardening of theproduct we recommend preparingonly the amount of mortar necessaryfor the job. Bear in mind that the wateris an important part of the mortarand should be added in the recommendedquantities so as not to compromisesome of the properties ofthe product such as mechanical resistanceand shrinkage, etc.APPLICATIONThe product should be applied witha trowel or spatula without usingformworks.Applying BETONFIX RAPID 5 with a trowel,to fix a hinge.TONFIX RAPID 5, such as cement,aggregates or additives.• Wet the substrate before application.• In hot weather, keep the mortardamp for at least 24 hours afterapplication.• Store in a dry place.SAFETY REGULATIONS• When mixing the product wear asuitable mask to protect the respiratorytract.• Protect hands and eyes with glovesand goggles.• If the product comes into contactwith the eyes, wash immediatelywith abundant water.4 th DIVISION2 nd LINE
