Water acts as the on/off switch.• Electronics: User-removable electronics module is easy to cleanand protects circuitry from dirt and moisture. The electroniccircuit converts the DC battery current to AC current, preventingcorrosion and mineral buildup on the probe.• Sensitivity dial: Filters out false signals from cascading water.Rugged Water Level Tape 100This economical tape offers durabilityand accuracy for well drillers, pumpinstallers, and other service users.• Kevlar ®-reinforced polyethylenetape with stainless steel conductorshas a breaking load of over 45 kg(100 lbs).• White tape is graduated in metersby mm or in feet by 0.01 foot.Rugged WaterLevel Tape 200Premium Rugged WaterLevel Tape 200 and RuggedMini Water Level Tape 200provide long and reliableservice life. Rugged Interface and Conductivity MetersRugged Oil/Water Interface MetersWhen working in hazardous or explosive environments, use the certifiedintrinsically safe Rugged Interface Meter or Rugged Mini Interface Meter.Ideal for remediation sites, oil refineries, and landfills, these meters accuratelymeasure the thickness of hydrocarbon product layers (LNAPL) as thin as1 mm (1/200 ft) floating on the water table and sinking layers (DNAPL).• Meters: Both full-size and backpack-size meters are available. Theeconomical Rugged Mini Interface Meter is ideal for shallow wells orhigh water tables.• Probe: The field-replaceable probe includes a lens and infrared lightemitter. A stainless steel shield protects the lens. The infrared lightemitter sends a beam oflight through the lens to adetector, which identifies conductive liquid (water) and non-conductive liquid (product). A solid toneand solid light indicate oil. An intermittent tone and a flashing light indicate water.• Tape: ASME-certified tape is constructed of high-tensile steel with yellow tape jacketedin clear Kynar ® coating. Kynar protects tape from hydrocarbons, solvents, and other harshcontaminants. Graduated in meters by mm or in feet by 0.01 foot.• Intrinsically safe: Grounding cable ensures safety at hazardous sites. Certified to UL andCSA standards. Class 9098-01 for hazardous locations. Class 9098-81 (U.S.A.) for hazardoussites. Class I groups A, B, C, and D.• Electronics: To conserve battery life, the meter shuts off after 5 minutes of inactivity.Rugged Conductivity/Level/Temperature MeterAccurately measure conductivity, water level, and temperature in wells, boreholes, and open bodies ofwater. Use this meter to profile conductivity and temperature.• Probe: To measure conductivity, the probe uses a four-electrode system that includes two arrays ofa single electrode within a concentric electrode. Each array reverses its polarity 2,000 times/second.This system reduces corrosion of the electrode to ensure reproducible readings. Water level isdetected when the probe passes from a non-conductive medium (air) to a conductive medium (waterwith conductivity levels greater than 10 µS/cm). The Delrin probe is rated for temperatures between0° to 50° C (32° to 122° F).• Tape: ASME-certified tape isconstructed of high-tensile steelwith easy-to-read yellow tapejacketed in medium-density polyethylene to ensure longevity. Graduated inmeters by mm or in feet by 0.01 foot. The tape is potted directly into the probe(sacrificial security link is not available on this meter).• Electronics: Electronics module houses an LCD screen that displaysconductivity values up to 80,000 µS/cm, and temperature from -20 to 85° C(-4 to 185° F). Module includes a bright red LED and a buzzer. To conservebattery life, the meter shuts off after 5 minutes of inactivity.
