Please note that when submitting a response <strong>to</strong> each <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> criteria above it issufficient <strong>for</strong> tenderers <strong>to</strong> declare that <strong>the</strong>y have <strong>the</strong> relevant capacity. The<strong>Marine</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> will seek verification and evidence <strong>of</strong> such capacity only in <strong>the</strong>event <strong>of</strong> a tenderer being considered <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> award <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> contract. Thedeclaration should clearly and unambiguously indicate <strong>the</strong> tenderers ability <strong>to</strong>meet each <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Marine</strong> <strong>Institute</strong>’s requirements above.Phase 2<strong>Tender</strong> respondents shall be evaluated on <strong>the</strong> following criteria:Total amount <strong>of</strong> Nephrops quota in <strong>the</strong> Porcupine Bank (Unit 16) in ICES AreaVII required in compensation <strong>to</strong> undertake <strong>the</strong> 55 survey stations (referenceAnnex 1) – Weighting 75 points Experience <strong>of</strong> fishing Nephrops at Porcupine Bank fishery – Weighting 25pointsImportant: All tender responses must include all headings listed above. Failure <strong>to</strong> doso may result in <strong>the</strong> rejection <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> tender3. <strong>Tender</strong> Format<strong>Tender</strong>s should be presented in <strong>the</strong> <strong>for</strong>mat and order laid out above under Section 2Scope <strong>of</strong> <strong>Tender</strong>. Each <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> sections 1 <strong>to</strong> 9 should be clearly and separatelymarked and addressed in <strong>the</strong> order above.4. Quota RequirementsOnly <strong>of</strong> Nephrops quota in Porcupine Bank (Unit 16) in ICES Area VII is availableand <strong>the</strong> amount <strong>of</strong> this quota tendered should be specified in <strong>to</strong>nnes <strong>to</strong> one decimalplace.5. Contract TermsA Charter agreement will be entered in<strong>to</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> successful vessel(s) tender. Thisagreement will stipulate <strong>the</strong> number and location <strong>of</strong> survey stations required. Foreach station not completed <strong>the</strong> vessel will be deducted scientific quota. For <strong>the</strong>stations where <strong>the</strong> Baca trawl is specified, this amounts <strong>to</strong> a deduction <strong>of</strong> 2.85% <strong>for</strong>each station missed and 0.95% deduction <strong>for</strong> each survey station missed where <strong>the</strong>commercial trawl is specified. The successful vessel must utilise <strong>the</strong> additionalscientific quota within <strong>the</strong> quota management period in which it was issued. Only predefinedsurvey stations and scientific quota may be fished and utilised inside <strong>the</strong>closed area.Contract Period It is proposed that <strong>the</strong> contract on <strong>of</strong>fer will run <strong>for</strong> a period <strong>of</strong> 20 days and must beundertaken during <strong>the</strong> month <strong>of</strong> July 2011. Specific start and finish dates will beagreed with <strong>the</strong> successful applicatnt.5
