As part of a national movement focused on World-Class YouthDevelopment, we are committed to measuring how much our kids are achieving andhow effectively our Club Experience ensures their path to a great future. Boys & GirlsClubs of America launched the National Youth Outcomes Initiative (NYOI) to measurethe impact of Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the country in a consistent way. We aresquarely at the table of this new initiative and are excited about using it as a tool tobetter demonstrate locally our impact on the youth of our community.Helping young people develop a moral compass and the strong character to makepositive life choices, as well as empowering youth with opportunities to make a positivechange in their communities, have long been bedrock principles of Boys & Girls Clubs.There’s an old saying: If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem. Inthe Boys & Girls Clubs Movement we believe that every citizen, every organization andevery business has a role to play to solve the challenges facing our youth. Regardlessof the product or the service, the bottom line of success is always ROI or return oninvestment. We believe that you would be hard pressed to find a stronger investment inour nation’s future and sustainability than Boys & Girls Clubs. Our MissionOur mission at the Boys & Girls Clubsof the Western Reserve is to inspire andenable all young people to realize theirfull potential as productive, responsibleand caring citizens.Our WorkThe Boys & Girls Clubs of the WesternReserve is committed to improving thelives of our youth by providing them witha safe, positive environment in which todevelop their knowledge, skills, talents,and passions. We provide our memberswith opportunities to learn, grow, andgive back to the community. Throughdeveloping supportive relationships withtrained youth development professionals,our children and teens feel valued andunderstood, receive guidance, and learnabout expectations and accountability.We offer fun programs that help youthdevelop new skills, overcome obstacles,and enjoy life. The Boys & Girls Clubs havethree Priority Outcome Areas: AcademicSuccess, Good Character & Citizenshipand Healthy Lifestyles.Keep Akron Beautiful teaches our kids theimportance of taking care of the earth.
