Der Wind hat Geburtstag | It’s the wind’s birthday
Illustrated by Wiebke Oeser
A little book full of poems about the wind and the ocean, about loneliness and sadness, about
love, happiness and high spirits. But there is one thing these poems have in common: They all
cause a slight irritation. They play tricks on the reader’s expectation by slightly deranging the
well known order of things and language. We are amused, refreshed, inspired! Jürg Schubiger
is a master of looking at the world as if he saw it for the first time. Reading his verse makes
us rediscover thoughts and feelings which were long-forgotten. Wiebke Oeser sensitively
responds to his words with wondrously light illustrations.
