Maximising the Value of ModernNon-Destructive Examination (NDE)NDE plays a vital role in ensuring containment integrity. Risk-based and non-invasivestrategies are increasingly being applied to plant inspections. Both these strategiesneed reliable NDE techniques and encourage the use of new technologies, such asphased arrays and long-range ultrasonics. This seminar will bring together plant engineers and NDE practitioners to comparethe capability, selection and use of new advanced techniques with establishedmethods. It will discuss the best NDE solutions for common industry problems, andwill give plant operators and inspection bodies key information to select the optimumapproach. You will have the opportunity to discuss your needs with leading NDEexperts, and to see demonstrations of emerging techniques. This event will attract:Consultants, engineers, inspectors, surveyors andproject managers involved in maintenance, pressuresystems, power, safety and reliability, technical services, plant integrity, oil and gas, petrochemical andpharmaceutical industries. Non-DestructiveTesting (NDT) technicians, plant engineers andthose responsible for organising the inspectionof new and in-service equipment, as well asNDT professionals and young engineers.“First-class event. The standard ofpresentationsand subsequentdiscussions covereda wide spectrum ofissues relevant toindustry.”Chris Hunter,UKAEA, speaking aboutNon-Metallic Tanks 2009Technical advantages:• Gain a better appreciation of theroles of the parties involved• Understand the factors affectingthe choice of NDE techniques• Receive advice on specificinspection problems• Know whether your NDT is efficient, reliable and cost-effective• Learn about developments inremote visual inspection• Appreciate the regulator’sposition on the use of NDE• Understand how to handle NDE results• Grasp the future of NDE• See hands-on demonstrationsfrom suppliers• Find collaborators for future projectsPhoto courtesy of TWI LtdSponsorship and ExhibitionOpportunitiesYour involvement with our events is an effective way to get into theminds of key decision makers, helping you capture your chosenaudience when they are in the frame of mind to do business. Our flexible opportunities allow you to:n Showcase new productsn Raise awareness of your operationn Improve perception of your brandn Influence other organisations’spending plansTo talk through how to get the best fromone of our events, contact Aman DuggalTel: +44 (0)20 7973 1309Email: sponsorship@imeche.orgSupportingorganisations
