Wehope that this will help <strong>Africa</strong>n nations developindependent and vibrant agricultural sectorswhich will lead to decreases in malnutrition andgeneral increases in health and well-being forthe continent. Furthermore, we hope to helpconnect Westerners to <strong>Africa</strong> so that they cangain a greater understanding of <strong>Africa</strong>n cultureand agribusiness opportunities which existin <strong>Africa</strong> (increase direct and indirect foreigninvestment in <strong>Africa</strong>). While we also want topromote trade between <strong>Africa</strong>n nations. Thisapproach should help lead to sustainable agriculturaldevelopment and could lead to growthin other sectors of the economy via linkages.In order to accomplish these goals AAM publishesa bi-monthly magazine which is distributedin the United States, <strong>Africa</strong>n nations,and published on the internet. Our magazinefocuses upon engaging the outside worldwith <strong>Africa</strong>, getting vital information on farmingtechniques, identifying comparative advantages,helping our readers learn how toinvest in the agricultural sectors of certaincountries, connecting non-profits, help farmerslearn how to access modern farmingequipment, and supporting community effortsfor development. We have scholarly articlesalong with more personal articles, so asto balance the content of the magazine andmake it more accessible to a larger audience.Jeff Vosseler / Publisher
